Found two more places where recursive calls don't have no warnings.
It might run forever, but it isn't sending warnings.
wohoo - worked. no warnings. Didn't time it though,

SvenDowideitCDot: when you have time, i need you to look at what i did to CalendarPlugin, and make sure that i've not blatently broken something that CalDAV needs
I tried to write some tests, though they need redoing now that the date parser returns a hash (they work, but they are still dumb like the parser was before)

PeterSvendsenI have tried to look a bit into having a headline on all topics that the user can only edit through a data field.... I have already recived a little help from the community and looked into patternskin... but have not been able to find the right place. Where should I place the line "%FORMFIELD{"TopicTitle"}%"......? [12:02]
leikPeterSvendsen, I use a view template, then it's not for ALL topics but for all of the same kind, i.e with the same data form. And I use that with several topic types. Work fine.
That's a topic called e.g. ContactViewTemplate and contains something like:
%TMPL:INCLUDE{"view"}%
%TMPL:DEF{"form"}%%TMPL:END%
%TMPL:DEF{"windowtitle"}%<title>%TMPL:P{"titleaction"}% <nop>%QUERY{"TopicTitle"}%%TMPL:P{"titlesep"}%%BASEWEB%%TMPL:P{"titlesep"}%<nop>%WIKITOOLNAME%</title>%TMPL:END%
%TMPL:DEF{"top:toolbarbuttons"}%%TMPL:END%
%TMPL:DEF{"content"}%

PeterSvendsen<leik> where it the ContactViewTemplate located? and where do you tell the wiki when to use it? [12:20]
.... (idle for 17mn)
leikPeterSvendsen, see System/AutoViewTemplatePlugin
It's a default plugin. I have the view template in the same web. There are examples on foswiki.org. When you see a topic with ?raw=debug at the end of the url you see %META:PREFERENCE{name="VIEW_TEMPLATE" title="VIEW_TEMPLATE" type="Set" value="ContactView"}%
Notice how the word ContactViewTemplate is used when set as META:PREFERENCE, without the Template at the end. The AutoViewTemplatePlugin does the job automatically so that you don't have to specify a template for each topic, it automatically looks for a template named like the data form, here that would be ContactForm
So ContactForm would automatically make it search for ContactViewTemplate. So you can forget about the META part, it just good to know when looking at other topics and learning
[12:37]
PeterSvendsen<leik> okay thanks.... Im still new so I try one step at a time... I have the plugin you mention.. so far so good... now I try to create a ViewTemplate... and place it in my Main web.....
<leik> I have copied all you mentioned above... %TMPL:INCLUDE{"view"}% ........................... %TMPL:DEF{"content"}%. in the viewtemplate
[12:50]
leikThere's more, I just copied the top part..in addition you probably need..
%TEXT% for the main text content of your topic
And %TMPL:END% to end the definition of "content"
[12:54]
PeterSvendsen<leik> sorry to sound so stupid.. where should I place the %TEXT%
compared to the %TMPL:DEF{"content"}% line
[12:57]
leik%TEXT% or any %QUERY{"Fieldname"}% you can put in the "content" part, i.e. between TMPL:DEF{"content"}% %TEXT% whatever text and a formfield %QUERY{"Firstname"}% %TMPL:END%
And please, you are not sounding stupid at all, this is a bit too hard to get started with. I used a really long time before I started to use this functionality.
[12:58]
PeterSvendsen<leik> :) when I enter a topic that include the QMSDataForm (is what it is called) I have exactly he same view..... I will look more into the topic and plugin to see if I can get a better understanding [13:07]

is how it looks....
ups.. I update the %TMPL:DEF{"Form"}% to %TMPL:DEF{"QMSDataForm"}%
[13:12]
leikBe sure to have some custom text or remove %TEXT%, otherwise it would look very like, other than that the form at the bottom should be gone %TMPL:DEF{"form"}%%TMPL:END% makes the form empty
ah, nearly there now :)
[13:17]
PeterSvendsenokay I remove it... the only thing I want is the %FORMFIELD{"TopicTitle"}% in the top..... [13:19]
Ohh now it seems to work.. thanks a lot Leik :) [13:25]
leikglad to help :)
When updating I change FORMFIELD to the QUERY macro, it's better with international characters, like nordic, %QUERY{"formfield"}% but it also has much much more power to use later on

CDotSvenDowideit: I don't see any changes to CalDAVPlugin .... :-/
oh, you meant ClandarPlugin. OK.
[13:55]
so long as the parser changes you made still support the old syntax (and AFAICT they do) then CalDAVPlugin should be unaffected. It generates syntax for CalendarPlugin, rather than the reverse.
CalDAVPlugin does *not* support adding events to a CalDAV calendar via the TML syntax.
[14:00]
........ (idle for 37mn)
SvenDowideitCDot: its the 'support the old syntax' and 'broke something i don't know about' that i'm more worried about
but I am hoping that we can open the way to modernising the whole thing, so we don't need to make stupid bullets, and can yse F::Time to parse
[14:37]
CDotyah. IIRC CalendarPlugin has extremely inadequate unit tests. But in this case, the CalDAVPlugin sticks strictly to the documented format that CalendarPlugin claims to support, so ...... [14:38]
SvenDowideitstill - sweet, thats one more set of eyes that have not seen anything glaring :)
it had none
[14:38]
CDoty - well done for adding some! [14:38]
SvenDowideitits the biggest reason its not core, cos really, making a claendar view is a no-brainer to have
the real reason i did it, is one of my long term clients keeps wanting a calendar view that has hours - and this thing always stopped me from just doing it
its possible that we can remove the entire regexing for specific dates and replace with split(/-/, and thne use a real date-time parse on the array elements
thus getting ISO for free, and unit tests for the date portions for nothin
SvenDowideit just rode some more 'official singletrail' won't be going there again :/

SvenDowideiti don't think its tinymce's fault [15:07]
CDot^no easy^no [15:07]
SvenDowideitit seems more that we have given focus to the save button or something odd like that
it certainly isn't tinymce that has focus - in that i hit edit, and type, the input is not going anywhere visible - not in tinymce, nor in one of hte other edit boxen
hitting enter does nothing eith, so its weird
[15:07]
CDotwhich browser? [15:10]
SvenDowideitie, though i noticed it in chrome before windowsxp update killed it
ok, raw edit does give the textbox focus
but scrolls the view halfway down the textarea
whereas wysiwyg scrolls the edit view to the bottom of the page - past all the userform stuff
and 'there's no easy way to make TMCE adapt the UI to small screens' must be wrong

MichaelDaumSvenDowideit, editing using tinymce on small screens. I just recently fixed natedit's tinymce integration to resize heights correctly. maybe that mitigates the screen estate problems a bit. [16:53]
SvenDowideitit looks like the height&width is ok on 800x600
its just that the browser scrolls the complete page to make the top half of tinymce off the top (when theres no form) and entirely off the screen when there is a form
[16:55]
MichaelDaumthat's what natedit tries to address shifting the dataform in an extra tab instead of scrollmania [17:01]
SvenDowideitno, this is different
in that when you goto edit a topic

[17:53]
CDotpackoman_: you can build the plugin and unzip it over the install
or you can get a copy of pseudo-install.pl, and use it to soft-link into the core install
if you are asking because you are developing a plugin, then I'd recommend using pseudo-install

another question. what's the syntax for adding a "==" in the following:
\"'%qweb%.%qtopic%'/$item =~ '\w'\"

or rather excludes them

leikyes, I believe any operator and example from System/QuerySearch, works for SEARCH with type="query" with QUERY and the IF macros (System/IfStatemens) [20:41]
packoman_ok. cool. thanks!
will try it soon :)

packoman_btw. I got kinda stuck with my attempts at doing somethink like {file::main.pdf} [22:46]
pharveyAh :/ [22:46]
packoman_yeah. following:
problem I am having is that if I do [[Cite::Topic1{file::main.pdf}{page::1}]] and [[Cite::Topic1{file::main.pdf}{page::2}]]
I will get the same seq for both
of course because it is the same topic twice
this of course makes the whole query ambiguous
i.e. the query I need to run to get at the values for file and page
and I didn't figure any way around it yet
do you know of any?
[22:47]
pharveyHrm.
If you can share your Cite and Topic1 etc. I might get some time on the weekend
[22:49]
packoman_what do you mean by share? put it on foswiki.org in the sandbox [22:51]
pharveypharvey recompacting MongoDB which has grown to 50GB :( [22:51]
packoman_or just the content?
I could copy them to piratepad
no prob
[22:51]
pharveypackoman_, yeah I don't know. I guess I just need the .txt files somehow :) [22:51]
packoman_hm. sure. just that the pdf file doesn
t exist yet
but you don't need it

pharvey: I was thinking. A poor mans solution (i.e. hack) would be to use a JS with a counter and pass its value to the script
sort of like you did in the GlossaryMacro
do think that would work?

packoman__sorta had hopt to get something working today :( [23:22]
jayenhi. is the twisty plugin broken on the live site? it seems to work on my 1.1.3 install, but the examples in http://foswiki.org/Extensions/TwistyPlugin#Make_it_obey are giving me trouble. [23:24]

ArthurClemenjs error on the page
pattern.js: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of undefined
[23:38]
jayeni've got:
$(el).find("table.foswikiTable").attr("rows") is undefined
[Break On This Error] .each(function(index,el){var count=$(e...untStr=" <span class='foswikiSmall'>"
pattern.js (line 2)
(in firebug)
[23:39]
ArthurClemenlooks like an old version of pattern.js
why is that site so slow?
[23:40]
gac410Hi jayen, saw your response on Item11226 - Is config important to move? I didn't understand impact and it is late in beta - didn't want to change more than what was requested in the task. :-) [23:43]
FoswikiBothttp://foswiki.org/Tasks/Item11226 [ Item11226: CGI loaded before @localPerlLibPath and $CPANBASE are applied ] [23:43]
jayeni'm also having issues with expand/collapse all. it's giving me foswikiEmulatedLink instead of an anchor
hi gac410, no it's not important
just thought everything should come after the path is set, not before (but i can understand if somethings are needed to set the path)
[23:43]
ArthurClemenweird, the installed version at http://foswiki.org/System/PatternSkin is the latest [23:44]
gac410Yeah - I just wasn't 100% sure why those four modules were singled out ahead of the path setting - don't want to break anything close to release.
ArthurClemen: trouble with foswik.org?
[23:45]
ArthurClemenbut http://foswiki.org/pub/System/PatternSkin/pattern.js is old [23:45]
jayenyeah, gac410. totally understood. maybe just leave the ticket open to look at after release [23:45]
gac410Did I mess up the upgrade of f.o? Jayen, no any item addressed in the release gets closed upon release. Needs a new task for a new release. [23:46]
ArthurClemendunno, but the pattern skin js is older than the skin txt topic [23:47]
jayenok, gac410. i'll open a new item so you can remember to look at it after release? [23:47]
gac410ArthurClemen: pattern.js in the tarfile is identical to that on f.o/pub/ ... So let me check my build system.
(If it didn't change, it won't be copied, so the date might be old. But the file is identical)
[23:48]
ArthurClemeny, I just noticed
perhaps I didn't upload
[23:49]
gac410The upgrade script (tools/foswiki-upgrade-check does a 3-way diff between installed, installed-distribution new-distribution And only updates files that change in the new distribution file. [23:50]
ArthurClemenoh I have to switch to git to just get rid of smartsvn [23:52]
gac410hm. Comparing my git 1.1.4 checkout with the 1.1.4 tarfile, pattern.js is different. [23:52]
ArthurClemenwhat a resource hog [23:52]
pharveyjayen, ArthurClemen btw in jQuery 1.6 what .attr() does has changed... [23:53]
gac410Either build.pl copied in an old file, or it changed after I built. strange.
never mind. They are different because build.pl compresses the .js files.
[23:54]
pharveyhttp://ejohn.org/blog/jquery-16-and-attr/ [23:56]
ArthurClemenlooks like trunk and release branch differ [23:57]
gac410All of the core extensions are built from the Release branch, not trunk
(I wish we didn't have to do that. moving to git should solve that issue)
