jayenyou should be able to fix it by adding some = to http://trac.foswiki.org/browser/trunk/JQueryPlugin/pub/System/JQueryPlugin/ui/jquery.ui.autocomplete.init.uncompressed.js line 9
actually, just one =
input[autocomplete=] instead of input[autocomplete]
and hopefully it'll work with jq 1.6.4 and jq 1.7.1

[08:53]
***MartinRowe has joined #foswiki [09:00]
CDotwhy not just use Micha's cache? I thought it cached html......
or is it just the sheer number of cache hits causing the problem?
[09:14]
..... (idle for 24mn)
***JulianLevens has joined #foswiki [09:39]
....... (idle for 31mn)
SvenDowideiti would use the core cache, if it wasn't considered broken by the author
and that the brokenness is specifically when you have lots of load running for a long time
but what is really needed in this load case, is to avoid hitting perl unless there is a specific need
if i didn't have too many things on the boil, i'd debug and rejigger the core cache code to do what i want, but, yeah
my latest curio idea is to have a a user have a personal default 'web' for which topics are at /
and then system (docco) and the shared webs are subwebs of that web
i wonder if it'll work :)
especially as i want to serialise the created web onsave (ie, if someone has an account, but never edits their default web, its not actually serialised to disk
shame that the existing setup is causing such a big load tho :(
[10:10]
***pharvey has joined #foswiki [10:20]
pharveySvenDowideit, not using mongo yet? :P
now I got our mongod VM running at only ~30% CPU utilisation, the wiki is heaps faster.
[10:22]
***foswiki_irc1 has joined #foswiki [10:23]
pharveyCDot: problem with core cache is that it gets very big and crashy ... I was doing a weekly, and then daily clean of the cache to avoid crashes (seems that cache corruption is more likely when you're running dodgy plugins that sometimes give 500s :)
actually, we did run for almost a month without crashing at one point - but overall, our users are depending on SEARCHes with new topics affecting the output, that the cache couldn't invalidate (i.e. force refresh problem).
[10:23]
SvenDowideitpharvey i'm using shared hosting [10:25]
pharveySo... we need to get a way for cached pages to depend on things other than changed topics (i.e. does a given topic save affect any of the searches ) [10:25]
SvenDowideitpartially to force me to consider making things more reasonable in a limited env [10:25]
pharveyrlog is a big overhead (well, was on ours) [10:25]
SvenDowideitrlog should imo never be hit :) [10:25]
pharveyhaving all versions in mongo seems to avoid the rlog call, but with the expense that you're sucking down potentially large (and therefore megabytes) of whole-past-topics down the wire into foswiki [10:26]
SvenDowideitbut in this case, its just that spiders seem to be run by inconsiderate bastards that like to view the / html often
not-all versions in mongo avoids it too
or it used to
as rev1info is cached in each topic too
[10:26]
***foswiki_irc1 has quit IRC (Client Quit) [10:27]
SvenDowideithell, i should get a friggenbrain
there is sod all reason not to put rev1info into META::INFO in all topics

[10:27]
pharveyyeah, but we've got the "what rev is it *really*" not-trusting-topicinfo problem... or at least that's where my last nytprof led me [10:27]

[10:30]
BabarJulianLevens: so, vagrant is up and running for you? You can start developing? :) [10:30]
pharveybtw, the new summary... don't like because it's too noisy? I've got 220 mongo related failures, and I really do appreciate seeing the fail patterns, so maybe I need to make it configurable? I hate scrolling through140,000 lines of backtrace to figure out which 200 tests failed [10:30]
SvenDowideity, too noisy when there are too many failures [10:31]
Babarpharvey: ... [10:31]
SvenDowideiti was using it just to show me which modules to target next
in real life, its really useful
[10:31]

print join "\n", @a, $_ if /test cases passed/' $LOGFILE
[10:31]
SvenDowideitbut when i break so many things, its boomy [10:31]
Babarthat's what I used to get a nice summary... [10:31]
SvenDowideit__sorting__ is useful too
220 mongofailures - not bad
pharvey leave it vrebose atm
[10:31]
pharveyit's getting better
actually, fixing one tests usually fixes 10 others
[10:32]
SvenDowideitits more a case of working out what is useful
exactly
[10:32]
pharveynot convinced I need the F: part for unexpected Fail (P: for unexpected Pass)
Babar: are you debating whether we need a human-readable summary at all? :-)
[10:32]
Babarpharvey: no. I'm saying we don't. period.
you want one, code one, form the output. One line of perl.
[10:33]
SvenDowideitwhat i really want, is a -run-last-failing-tests option
so that i can iterativly try to reduce them without re-running the full suite
but meh :)
and while i'm debugging, i really don't want to be switching contexts to write a 'one line of perl' to format stuff i want :)
[10:34]
pharveyyeah, I'm going to have to disagree Babar... it always bothered me that when there's expected failures, the $total passed count is actually misleading. You might have only one real incorrect test result, but it'll show worse than that due to the expected fails [10:35]
***AlexanderSt has joined #foswiki [10:36]
Babarpharvey: I'm afraid I'm not following there...
you want the number of failures, it's easy... it's one line... \d+ failures:
[10:36]
pharveyso we never needed that last line (" n of n test cases passed") at all?
because it's that last line that was only 50% useful
[10:37]
Babarbut hey, as long as you don't screw up my output, I do not really care. [10:38]
pharveyfair enough [10:38]
NeilMcKettOr, some help on installing JSONRpc would be helpful since this is used by EditChapterPlugin. I've done what I think is a proper install for JSONRpc but it doesn't seem to be working. Thanks in advance. [10:38]

NeilMcKettI have JSON on my system but something is missing but I don't know what. [10:39]
pharveyBabar - right - but that could still be skewed by unexpected *passes* [10:40]
NeilMcKettAt least I installed the perl modules and even tried some rpms for perl-JSON and perl-JSON-Any [10:40]

pharveyanyway, I wanted to know if the new summary output is annoying, I guess Babar is on the indifferent-to-annoyed side of the spectrum :) [10:42]
NeilMcKettSorry , could you explain what it does depend on since I have installed cpan JSON but EditChapterPlugin is not working. [10:42]
pharveyNeilMcKett: if you do perl -e 'use JSON; print $JSON::VERSION' what does it say?
FoswikiBot: JSON is in core as of perl 5.14 :P

JulianLevensBabar, no I'm not developing. Apache offers me master or Release01x01, which are found in /home/foswiki, but the git install in in the shared libraries elsewhere

JulianLevensBabar, is apache set-up with mod_perl? i.e. will I need to re-start apache to pick up changes? [10:56]
