pharveySvenDowideit: Paul.A is raising a bug against WysiwygFormfieldPlugin - no big deal, but it seems to always store a newline, which means when he queries for empty fields he has to test empty or \n :P
I think it's probably a deeper WysiwygPlugin issue which might open a whole can of worms, but meh.

harlanSo on the EDITTABLE beast - is there a way for it to "know" that a column should be right-justified? [05:15]

SvenDowideitis $AU80 too much for a dual 2 core xeon with 32GB ram and a 10,000 disk?
SvenDowideit goes :)
[07:04]
julian_workthe question is, is $160 too much for me to take that off your hands?
I've got a DC to put it into :)

OliverKruegerDo we have a policy on filename cases for our svn?
Im experiencing problems checking out BuildContrib on an OSX box (HFS+ by default is not case sensitive).
we have a pod.pm and an POD.pm in the same directory.

pharveyOliverKrueger: BTW session variables are certainly there for plugin authors, obviously it has some limitations (number of keys, size of values, etc - I think that's documented in CPAN:CGI::Session)
as for whether it's the right tool for the job, it might not be, or it might, if you share more about your use-case that would be interesting :)
[09:19]
OliverKruegerAh, thanks. :) Need that for my HttpHeaderPlugin to get rid of global vars. [09:19]

MichaelDaumWikiRingBot, seen CDot [10:55]
WikiRingBotWikiRingBot has last seen CDot 26 Jun 2012 - 09:07 GMT on #wikiring [10:55]
MichaelDaumthere's a serious problem in the new table parser resulting in all DataForm definitions being lost
it doesn't seem to be able to cope with multiline tml either
open_table is never dispatched
[10:56]
seems to be related to the early_line thingy [11:06]
.... (idle for 18mn)
jastMichaelDaum: SolrPlugin seems to remove HTML entities and thus certain words with umlauts etc. aren't indexed properly. I have a patch but I guess it's slightly yucky... [11:24]
MichaelDaumjast, seen the plainify method? [11:24]
jastthat's where the entities are removed [11:25]
MichaelDaumyep [11:25]
jastso früh gets turned into frh
people don't search for 'frh' though ;)
[11:25]
MichaelDaumthey even dont type früh ;) [11:26]
jastyeah, but apparently some browsers *cough* create entities for umlauts in WYSIWYG editors
so we have plenty of articles containing HTML entities
[11:26]
MichaelDaumI.C.
well the proper fix is to translate those html entities that have a proper utf8 codepoint
[11:26]
jastbasically what I did was get rid of those two regular expressions and do this instead:
http://dpaste.org/re9e0/
[11:27]
MichaelDaumyou will have to do something like ü -> ΓΌ ... somewhere [11:27]
jastnot particularly efficient, though [11:27]
MichaelDaumeither in your cke editor and/or in solr index [11:28]
SvenDowideitso we should work that into the html2tml in wysiwygplugin? [11:28]
jast... and apparently I forgot that I already had $charset in the last line ;)
well I don't know
entities might be needed in some places
[11:28]
SvenDowideittrue - until MichaelDaum and jomo make foswiki utf8 :) [11:28]
jastplus it doesn't help if you already have thousands of infected articles [11:28]
SvenDowideityou have the same problem if you do the conversion in solr [11:29]
jastnah, I just have to rebuild solr's index once [11:29]
SvenDowideitbut its less bad
no, i mean the 'what if its intentional'
[11:29]
MichaelDaum... it doesnt help for html pages coming from a 3rd party having entities in them. these definitely need a proper transcode during indexing. [11:30]
jastwell anyway, feel free to use my snippet (or something a bit like it) [11:30]
MichaelDaumhave you got the full patch of plainify? [11:30]
jasthang on a sec
http://dpaste.org/Jrdyo/
[11:30]
MichaelDaumthanks.
will add it to the next checkin
[11:34]
jastcool, thanks :) [11:37]
MichaelDaumah there already was an entity decoder commented out in line 1254
did you try using that one?
[11:37]
jastin Index.pm? the file isn't even that long AFAICS [11:40]
MichaelDaumthe one in Base.pm is only processing {
but not uumls
[11:40]
jastthat's the only entity decoder I can find
the big advantage of HTML::Entities, of course, is that it supports unicode
[11:41]
MichaelDaumwill rewrite it using HTML::Entities ... in the hope that it is utf8 safe
snap
[11:41]
jastyou just have to do decode/encode stuff so that it ends up outputting it as utf-8 in the end [11:42]
MichaelDaumthis is awkward [11:42]
jastmaybe there's a better way than that... I didn't find one
after all unicode isn't exactly smiles and unicorns in perl
nor anywhere else, come to think about it
[11:42]
MichaelDaumMichaelDaum back on Foswiki::Tables::Parser and Foswiki::Form ... wtf [11:45]
FoswikiBothttp://trunk.foswiki.org/System/PerlDoc?module=Foswiki::Tables::Parser http://trunk.foswiki.org/System/PerlDoc?module=Foswiki::Form [11:45]
MichaelDaumaaargh it is all my fault [11:52]
this encode-decode is required as things are right now. but it doesn't make things faster. [12:05]
jastobviously, yeah...
the correct thing to do would be to have perl use unicode strings everywhere
the internally wide ones, that is
[12:07]
MichaelDaumy [12:11]
....... (idle for 34mn)
jastMichaelDaum: I noticed your CaseSensitiveLogin feature in LdapContrib. we did that kind of thing ourselves and then noticed that Solr was indexing stuff as "adminuser" (but adminuser, unlike AdminUser, doesn't have sufficient privileges to view certain forms, so the indexer runs into an uncaught execption). do you figure the same thing could happen with your implementation? [12:45]
MichaelDaumjast, yes. especially the last checkin did fix that
sounds familiar
but adminuser not having any access rights...odd
could be a deeper problem
there infact is a problem in Foswiki::Users
[12:50]
FoswikiBothttp://trunk.foswiki.org/System/PerlDoc?module=Foswiki::Users [12:52]
jastthat's good to know, so it wasn't our fault ;) [12:52]
MichaelDaumhave a look at this: http://dpaste.org/wOZR8/
I've seen some login names not being assigned to the right user mapping
so that's the diff I have over here
[12:53]
jastI don't really have an LDAP test environment, so I can't say too much about that
maybe I should set one up
[12:55]
***ChanServ sets mode: +o MichaelDaum [13:08]
........ (idle for 35mn)
jastMichaelDaum: turns out the downside of using Foswiki::Attrs to pass stuff to TextboxList is that it lowercases the keys, so that way you couldn't pass doSort for instance [13:43]
FoswikiBothttp://trunk.foswiki.org/System/PerlDoc?module=Foswiki::Attrs [13:43]
jastI suppose I could roll my own... [13:43]
so basically you can now do: [...] | textboxlist doSort fancyParameter="abc" | [...]
I *think* that won't get in the way of anything else
[13:48]
oh, actually the downcasing might be a side effect of passing the parameters through the CSS class [13:54]
MichaelDaumI am hungry [13:55]
jastoh. no. Foswiki::Form downcases it. so there isn't really any simple way around it. [13:58]
FoswikiBothttp://trunk.foswiki.org/System/PerlDoc?module=Foswiki::Form [13:58]

ahazlettHello everyone, I was wondering if anyone knows of any plugin for MS office that will convert a document to Twiki markup [14:37]
Lynnwoodahazlett: Extensions.MsOfficeAttachmentsAsHTMLPlugin
oh sorry, i got it backwards...
this is a plugin for foswiki that translates attached doc files into foswiki/twiki markup
it's not a plugin for MS office
There was one like that way back in ancient twiki history but it didn't work very well
[14:50]
ahazlettAh ok, thank you [14:52]
