gac410Wow, running the trunk Unit tests, on trunk, 23m47.991s on release 1.1 branch, 48m30.746s [01:31]
pharveyYeah. I want to write some benchmarks that captures some of this.
pharvey says, shed full of solder fumes again
I found RcsLite is quite a few minutes faster again
[01:42]
gac410btw that's running the same suite. I installed the trunk unit test contrib on r11 [01:43]
pharveycool
I haven't tried to sync them up for quite some time now
[01:43]
gac410Lots of failures, I just used your pseudo-install to temporarily install the trunk version my moving r11 directory out of the way.
70 failures, but 60+ are because of the changes to store related tests. May have cut the time a bit shorter for tests that failed early, but still a big difference
[01:44]
pharveythat's one of my 1.2 TODOs... understand why the tests needed to change [01:47]
gac410At least some of the changed tests were legit changes. But I've not gone through the "big one" - the RCSHandler tests.
The Func::checkAccess... tests appear to be legit bugs that have been fixed along the way.
A lot of the changes were related to newlines :(
[01:50]

gac410hm. I don't understand the RCSHandler test failures. It appears that none of the topics are returning TOPICINFO on 1.1.
Yeah, looks like the trunk tests add the %META:TOPICINFO records into the comparison. 1.1.x tests only verified the topic text.
[02:15]
SvenDowideit: I'm going to apply your findUserByEmail changes to ApacheHtpasswdUser on release11. It's deprecated code, but the trunk unit tests pass on 1.1. with that addition. [02:26]

PeterSvendsenhi all, I have a "serious" problem.... or challange.... I have created a cakeclub at my work... and I use foswiki for the cake list that contain 2 column (name and week)... to release me from some work I would like the wiki to send out a mail to the next person in line (or e.g. person who is listed to give in week 39).... does there exists a plugin that could be used for that? [06:15]
...................... (idle for 1h47mn)
jastmorning [08:02]
OliverSchaub@MichaelDaum: Good Morning... short (hopefully) question about NatEdit and TopicInteractionPlugin. We've installed the latest version of both Plugins but are not able to activate the "In-Editor" Upload Dialog. Is there anything else besides NatEditPlugin and TopicInteractionPlugin we must install/consider? [08:06]
MichaelDaumthe feature is disabled until TopicInteractionPlugin supports in-editor uploading again
morning, jast. did you receive the latest CmisPlugin 0.9 for testing?
[08:06]
OliverSchaubAh, OK. Any ETA already? This is a much missed feature by our customers... [08:08]
MichaelDaumOliverSchaub, send me money. [08:08]
OliverSchaub:-D [08:08]
MichaelDaum:( [08:08]
jast, there will be a 0.91 soon fixing unicode chars in filenames [08:13]
...... (idle for 27mn)
jastMichaelDaum: I did receive it, yes. CmisBrowser shows up as a bunch of unexpanded macros, though. I was about to get back to that to try and figure out what's going on. [08:40]
MichaelDaumwhich macros does it show up?
MichaelDaum adds a missing dependency on FilterPlugin
[08:41]
jastMichaelDaum: I hope you don't mind getting it as an image: http://awesomescreenshot.com/044h4eqd3
bah, why isn't that a direct link
[08:46]
MichaelDaumlooks like you did not enable the plugin [08:47]
jastyeah, but it *is* enabled
oh, there's a very weird compile error
ah, *there* we go
I was missing JsonRpcConrtib
[08:48]
MichaelDaumMichaelDaum added it to the DEPENDENCIES [08:51]
jasthmm, all the dates in the browser show up as ???
you didn't include DEPENDENCIES/MANIFEST/build.pl in the tarball, by the way, so I made my own ;)
err, zip file. whatever.
[08:51]
MichaelDaumit never is part of the zip [08:51]
jastyeah
jast enables RenderPlugin, too
[08:52]
MichaelDaumFoswiki::Plugins::CmisPlugin::Renderer::formatTime() is the one returning ??? when Foswiki::Time fails to parse the date format coming from the repo. [08:54]
FoswikiBothttp://trunk.foswiki.org/System/PerlDoc?module=Foswiki::Plugins::CmisPlugin::Renderer http://trunk.foswiki.org/System/PerlDoc?module=Foswiki::Time [08:54]
jastCMIS appears to be returning this kind of format: 1347360024Z
so should be a simple matter of adapting the regex slightly
indeed, that works now
[08:56]
MichaelDaumhm the WebService::Cmis tests should fail then
I'll add some more tests to it
[08:57]
jastof *course* I would be on the IRC server that is getting restarted
I get quite a few errors when running the tests... 01 and 02 run through fine, 03 starts complaining
http://jk.gs/cmisperltest.log
in the upload dialog, when I choose 'Wähle Dateien aus', the CMIS browser switches to the CMIS root folder while the UA's file upload window opens
[09:02]
MichaelDaumjast, which browser are you using?
make sure you udated TopicInteractionPlugin to the latest version
check your javascript error console
maybe I just forgot some return false in the click handler, hm.
[09:14]
jastTIP is up-to-date. browser is recent firefox. [09:16]

MichaelDaumoic
it adds a hash # to the url for no good reason. ... investigating
[09:18]
that's a bug in JQueryPlugin [09:28]
jast, here's the quickfix for the unintended redirect: http://pastebin.com/6cP3c2Rr
gotta fetch my son from school. will look at the failing tests later. I suspect they aren't robust against the user you configured not being able to upload/change/download stuff to the repo.
[09:34]
jastthe user is an admin user [09:37]
props.click is undefined
http://localhost/qwiki/pub/System/JQueryPlugin/ui/jquery-ui.js?version=1.8.16
whoops :) meant to paste that as a single line
(error occurs in that file on line 9501)
[09:44]
(that's while trying to upload a file via CmisBrowser) [09:56]
............. (idle for 1h2mn)
MichaelDaumjast, that's a pretty outdated JQueryPlugin
I am now checking your cmisperltest.log
what's your /tmp/WebService-Cmis-0.06/inc/cmis.cfg ?
i.e. what is testRoot set to
my suggestion: it isn't set at all or still the default from cmis.cfg.example -> not valid
so set it to something valid
[10:58]
....... (idle for 32mn)
jastMichaelDaum: indeed... looks like the user I was using didn't have a dir in User Homes for some reason. a lot less errors now. [11:37]
MichaelDaumgot a log for me? [11:38]
jasthttp://jk.gs/cmisperltest2.log
at least one of those looks very much like it's dependent on alfresco configuration
[11:38]
updated to current JQueryPlugin (?v=1.8.23); problem persists (now in line 6404) [11:52]
MichaelDaumyes. there's a feature one can enable in alfresco to get a changes atom feed. the tests should just skip all related tests if not enabled. [11:53]
jastI have no idea what that even means :) "Auditing for CMISChangeLog is disabled!" [11:59]
unrelated: a customer is reporting randomly getting an error page 'Var topic does not exist' when saving a completely different topic. any ideas?
a colleague suggested that it might be due to some weirdness with the topic stack
[12:10]
MichaelDaumthe cmis changes may be used by external indexers to delta-index changes since the last token [12:13]
jastoh, that kind of auditing. right. [12:14]
MichaelDaumwhat's your locale on the shell: type locale, please?
the parseDecimal test looks locale-ish though it shouldnt
[12:17]
jastlocale on the alfresco server or on the client (test/wiki)?
my local (test/wiki) locale is http://dpaste.org/bgnhc/
[12:18]
MichaelDaumI can repro the error with LANG=de_DE.UTF-8 prove -l -Iinc t/06-property.t
wtf

gac410We are down to 1 failing unit test on trunk. Has anyone out there had better luck fixing the SemiAutomatic tests. The issue is that the default search summary presents literal
macros like %TWISTY and %INCLUDE, but trying to enter that into the "expected results" causes them to expand, I've tried to include <literal> but then that isn't in the actual, so that causes failure too.

rhubarbHello, does anyone have experience setting up foswiki notifications via a cron job? I've set up a cron job using user www-data but it seems to work sporadically and I see little help in /var/logs/syslog. [15:57]
jastworks fine here [15:58]
gac410What does the cron entry look like? [15:58]
rhubarbI have three entries. I'll post them:
22 9 * * * cd /var/www/foswiki && perl -I bin tools/mailnotify
23 9 * * * cd /var/www/foswiki/bin && ./statistics
24 9 * * * cd /var/www/foswiki/bin && ./view refreshldap=on Main/WebHome
[15:58]
jastwhich at least tells you that it's not a general problem ;) [15:58]
gac410Which release of foswiki? [15:58]
rhubarbIt does work, just erratically, so it may be I'm doing something dopey
foswiki 1.1.4
[15:58]
gac410The cron lines look fine. [15:59]
jasthave you looked at the mail server logfiles yet? to see whether the mails went out at all [15:59]
gac410What do you mean by sporadically - no mail at all, or just some users don't get mail, or just some webs or topics? [16:00]
rhubarbWell, I had set it to send out daily at a certain time and it worked for a day or so then stopped. The Ldap an stats seemed to continue working though. So I set the times as above to test at the minute and it worked.
It looks like the last 4-5 days it's been working as it shoudl.
[16:02]
gac410Ah... you run them 1 minute apart. Could the mailer be running for longer than a couple of minutes, and ldap refresh breaks something? [16:02]
rhubarbI don't have to run them like that I was just testing.
let me check something..
[16:02]
gac410Try running them at like 22 9, and then 22 10, and 22 11
or at least 22, 32, 42 ... spread them out a bit.
[16:03]
rhubarbmy syslog times are all screwed up.
Sep 24 15:22:01 ecowiki CRON[2744]: (www-data) CMD (cd /var/www/foswiki && perl -I bin tools/mailnotify)
Sep 24 15:23:01 ecowiki CRON[2829]: (www-data) CMD (cd /var/www/foswiki/bin && ./statistics )
Sep 24 15:24:01 ecowiki CRON[2875]: (www-data) CMD (cd /var/www/foswiki/bin && ./view refreshldap=on Main/WebHome)
that's wierd
[16:04]
gac410gmt vs. local time? [16:04]
rhubarbdate is showing proper EDT
but log showing differently
let me do as you said and span them out a bit.
At least I know the cron is correctly formatted.
[16:05]
jastmight be UTC in the logfile, right? [16:05]
gac410Linux can be set up different ways, but typically the logs / server run on UTC, but displaying time by the logged in user shows local EDT time. [16:06]
jasthmm, no, that doesn't fit [16:06]
gac410Yeah, the 6 hour difference is a bit off. [16:06]
jastin fact if 9:xx is EDT, 15:xx would be CEST [16:07]
rhubarbok I've spanned them out a bit
and will monitor.
I'll look up the log time thing. That shouldn't affect the job running just aids in confusion./
[16:07]
gac410right. Is your timezone EDT - Eastern US Daylight time, or some other EDT [16:09]
rhubarbnope Easter US Daylight
Oh one more thing.
This line: 22 9 * * * cd /var/www/foswiki && perl -I bin tools/mailnotify would send out for all webs correct?
and would be triggered only for webs that have content changes?
[16:09]
gac410Yes, that should do all webs, only when topics have changed.
you can tell if a web has been processed - check working/work_areas/mailnotify. There should be a file per processed web containing the last processed timestamp.
[16:11]
rhubarbawesome, I'll check. User is indicating a web was updated but not listed in updated notification. [16:12]
gac410Hm. There might have been a bug in 1.1.4 that caused subwebs to be skipped. ex. /Sandbox/SomeSubweb/WebHome [16:12]
rhubarbI don't this is sub-web but let me confirm. [16:13]
gac410Also, if the save was done as a "Quiet save" then the user won't be notified [16:13]
rhubarbAnother good point.
Yes none are sub-webs
I don't see that mailnotify under working/work_areas.
I see Mailer Contrib
[16:13]
gac410Ah.. sorry - Mailer Contrib [16:17]
rhubarbok cool. So I view one of the webs listed and it shows numbers
:q
ah wait I think I see
So the last modified is that last notification that went out.
[16:18]
gac410Right - That number is the unix epoch of the last mailnotify run.
ah. right. last notification. I think...
[16:19]
rhubarbsuper cool.
thanks very much!
[16:20]
gac410If you want to re-process a web, you can either set the timestamp back in time, or if you remove it, it will notify every changed topic since the beginning of time ;)
(Which is always a surprise for someone who upgrades to a new foswiki version, and forgets to copy over the working directory.
[16:21]
rhubarbgood to know. [16:22]
JulianLevensI've just noticed that the trunk CommandsAndGGIScripts has some unhelpful whitespace in its META:TOPICINFO
The current meta parser does not handle this wellvery gracefull
[16:26]
gac410ew... That's not good
JulianLevens: Want me to fix, or will you. Looks like MichaelDaum patch from July.
[16:28]
JulianLevensI must raise a bug about the meta parser actually, it's not the first time I've noticed that it returns invalid metakeys (i.e the META:DATA{name="..." metakey1="x" metakey2="y"})
I'd rather you had a look. I'm developing via git without svn checkin. I must sort that out though
[16:30]
gac410okay.
I don't think trunk is inserting those spaces by default.
[16:32]
JulianLevensThe whitespace bit is easy, the parser might prove to be non-trivial. Mind you SvenDowideit is working on a souped up version, I wonder how he handling broken meta [16:33]

gac410yup [20:32]
rhubarbso I've installed and enabled. [20:32]
gac410Using configure, or a debian pkg? [20:33]
rhubarband as a pre-requisite I installed htmldoc via apt-get htmldoc-common
If I go to genpdf/Sandbox/GenPDFAddOnDemo and attempt to print pdf as test I get error.
[20:33]
gac410Did you install genpdf as a .deb package, or using bin/configure find extensions, or ...??? [20:34]
rhubarbthing is I see there is an option to set where the htmldoc commands home is and I can't seem to find it.
ah find extensions
[20:34]
gac410Okay. It should be in bin/configure, the extensions tab on the left, then a GenPDFAddOn tab along the topi [20:35]
rhubarbyup
I have 1.2 installed
[20:35]
gac410Under the GenPDF tab, there should be a line: {Extensions}{GenPDFAddOn}{htmldocCmd} with an empty field [20:36]
rhubarbyes [20:36]
gac410If htmldoc is on the web server's path, you don't need to set that.
Otherwise enter the full path. /usr/bin/htmldoc or wherever debian installed it.
[20:37]
rhubarbokay let me see where that command is.
I did a search and couldn't find it.
[20:38]
gac410from your shell, try "which htmldoc" [20:39]
rhubarbcomes back empty [20:39]
gac410hm. running as root or a regular user? [20:39]
rhubarbmaybe htmldoc-common was wrong package?
running as regular user
[20:39]
gac410No idea about deb packages. :( [20:40]
rhubarbhmmm [20:40]
gac410quick google search, there is a package htmldoc which depends upon htmldoc-common
http://packages.debian.org/squeeze/htmldoc
[20:41]
rhubarbI think I got it
yes ok
apt-get install apt-get install htmldoc
now I get this from which htmldoc : /usr/bin/htmldoc
[20:42]
gac410okay, so try bin/genpdf/Main/WebHome or some other topic. Should work. [20:44]
