WhoWhatWhen
pharveyoh [00:09]
gac410I think I can just get rid of the qw(.. ) [00:10]
pharvey"Since File::Spec is object oriented, subroutines should not be called directly, as in: File::Spec::catfile('a','b'); [00:10]
gac410okay. I don't do that at all .. so I'm good.
ah.... using -> adds a $this as the first parameter
[00:10]
pharveyFile::Spec->foo is absolutely the correct way to do it
it does
maybe it is just the use ... qw()
[00:11]
gac410yeah. I'm guessing I can probably elimnate all of them. Not 100% sure about File::Copy though. [00:12]
pharveyif you're fully qualifying, I don't think you need them [00:13]
gac410agreed. though File::Copy I use copy without qualifying. So probably need that one. and docs don't imply that an object style call is okay.
Though that just means I shoudl use File::Copy::copy

gac410Hi all. Heads up on trunk BuildContrib. It now will reject SVN style version strings. Since Foswiki is not updated to believe a dotted decimal version is newer than an SVN based revision, Find Extensions gets confused by new extensions with svn style revisions. [02:20]

mattzzHi everybody.
I just updated the mac osx installer from 1.1.3 to 1.1.6 (yay). Attaching the newly created image to the topic on foswiki.org results in an internal server error from foswiki.org. Can anybody help?

dj_segfaultHi, folks. I have a challenge which should be simple, but none of the solutions I've tried are working. I have a wiki page called AgileGames2013.BackLog, which has a table with tasks in it. One column is the team who owns the task. There's a separate subwiki for each team, and what I want to do is extract the backlog items for each team into an identica table onto their home page
Most of the things I've tried with %SEARCH% and %EXTRACT% return nothing at all.
This one does, but it is searching the wrong page!!! %SEARCH{"^.*IS.*$" web="AgileGames2013" topic="BackLog" type="regex" topic="%TOPIC%" multiple="on" nonoise="on" casesensitive="on" format="$text"}%
It looks like it's finding matching rows from a table on AgileGames2013.WebHome instead of .BackLog
[22:00]
kip3fyou have two topic params [22:03]
dj_segfaultI'm also confused why there are two "topic=" parameters, but I saw that in an example [22:03]
kip3fyou should remove the 2nd one [22:03]
dj_segfaultWhen I do I get nothing back [22:04]
kip3fcan you pastebin the table in AgileGames2013 [22:04]
dj_segfaultHuh, OK I must have changed two things at the same time before when I tried that because it seems to be working now. I have to tune it up a bit, but I'll do that and then come back if I have issues. Thanks. [22:05]
kip3fwelcome [22:05]
