WhoWhatWhen
gac410SvenDowideit: No idea
I don't see why it wouldn't work. The whole point is to send all bin scripts to foswiki.fcgi. I think the NACG rewrite rules does the same thing setting the handler
[02:00]
....... (idle for 30mn)
SvenDowideit: The more I think about it, the only possible issue would be excluding other scripts that don't play nice with fcgi. genpdf comes to mind. [02:31]
harlanWhat tags do I use to show example HTML text in a topic?
Not verbatim, pre, or blockquote...
[02:44]
textarea and xmp are ugly... [02:55]
gac410harlan? <literal> ? Does that work? [02:56]
harlantrying now...
no
[02:57]
gac410What's wrong with verbatim? [02:57]
harlanit renders. [02:58]
gac410hm... [02:58]
harlanOK, this time it didn't render.
Amazing.
thanks :)
[02:58]
gac410yeah.. That surprised me. It doesn't render the html here [02:59]

PeterSvendsenhi, do you have a link to an example how I can create a topic (AUTOINC e.g. TestAUTOINC000) only by pushing a button? [06:08]
........... (idle for 50mn)
hi, when I use a dataform can I somehow lock or disable one of the fields... I would like to have a unique id and the user can see (match the topic name) but not change [06:58]
Anybody know how to make a search that list all members of a specific group e.g. AdminGroup [07:11]

JeffreyLovretichHello, is anyone able to add a form I created in the sandbox to the sandbox preferences topic so I can work on troubleshooting a URLPARAM query? [15:38]
gac410JeffreyLovretich What's the form. I don't remember how now, but typically I've not had to add forms to the settings to be able to use them. [15:40]
JeffreyLovretichI'm working here: http://foswiki.org/Sandbox/WikiGuest/TestURLPARMqueries and trying to add SimpleInventoryForm to http://foswiki.org/Sandbox/WebPreferences as a form. [15:40]
FoswikiBot[ WebPreferences ] [15:40]
JeffreyLovretichI've created plenty of forms before and added them to the web's preferences topic so it can be registered as a form and selected as such when you create a template.
But I don't have access to do so here.
[15:41]
gac410Do you need it added to the Sandbox.WebPreferences, or the subweb Sandbox/Wikiguest.WebPreferences [15:42]
JeffreyLovretichHmm... good question, I did not notice the difference in the links until you just pointed it out to me... [15:43]
gac410iirc, I think the subweb is used as part of the application workbench, though I've never played with that [15:43]
JeffreyLovretichI think it is still Sandbox, guessing that WikiGuest under Sandbox is still in the Sandbox web...
I'm working on building a basic/simple example of what I'm working on at work with using URLPARAM to allow users to type in a value and have it search not just the web for topics of whatever they type in, but also a particular set of Wiki Records that focuses on topics created with a certain form and searching a particular formfield.
[15:43]
gac410I'm editing Sandbox web prefs now... hang on. [15:46]
JeffreyLovretichBut when "-" is in the search string, the search that hits the records comes up empty but the standard web search works fine.
I think there might be some encoding going on with URLPARAM that is messing with the search going through records with forms looking through a specific formfield, that is not treated the same in a web wide topic search.
[15:47]
gac410Done [15:48]
JeffreyLovretichOk, will try to add the form to the test template now, brb.
Cool, was able to add the form to the template! Thank you!!
[15:48]
gac410yw
Ask back occasionally on your forms encoding question. I don't have much experience with forms or I'd offer to look at it.
[15:49]
JeffreyLovretichThe forms part is easy, it's the search that is killing me at the moment. I'm creating inventory records right now for using as a test base.
I'll have a small sample made in a few moments. Then will put together the custom search page for searching formfields and all topics to show the comparison between the two.
[15:52]
jastif your topics are in the Sandbox/WikiGuest subweb, it should have been sufficient to set it in Sandbox/WikiGuest.WebPreferences [15:54]
gac410jast: yeah I figured that but put it in sandbox anyway :)
Sandbox forms setting was broken anyway, supposed to be comma separated list, but it was missing commas.
[15:55]
jastwhoops :) [15:56]
JeffreyLovretichOk, got the test search up and running at:
http://foswiki.org/Sandbox/WikiGuest/SimpleInventoryQueries
It works fine for a normal topic search...
Hmm... odd... at work it can get hits when searching the formfield when not including a "-" character in the search query field... but here I can't get it to pull up any hits on formfield searches...
[16:05]
gac410Maybe related to the subweb? [16:09]
JeffreyLovretichhmmm... [16:12]
gac410The formname in the metadata is Sandbox/WikiGuest.SimpleInventoryForm
( I added a WebIndex topic to the WikiGuest subweb.
[16:13]
JeffreyLovretichThanks, will try this again. [16:14]
gac410So I could see what topics were in that subweb [16:14]
JeffreyLovretichAnother interesting thing, here, excludetopic= in the search does not seem to be working. [16:18]
gac410Ah... do you want to use type=keyword, or for your first search, should it be type=query
you need type="query" for formfield and other metadata searches
[16:25]
JeffreyLovretichOk, let me go back and reset that, I was experimenting. Tanks. [16:27]
Hmm... type="query" for the formfield did not help... :-/ [16:40]
gac410Have you tried either a fully qualified name {"Sandbox/WikiGuest.SimpleInventoryForm[name='APPLICATION-NAMES'].value ~ ... or unqualified APPLICATION-NAMES ~
In the query search docs, PersonForm[name='Lastname'].value, Lastname and PersonForm.Lastname are all equivalent.
So "'APPLICATION-NAMES' ~ '%URLPARAM...'" might help.
I'd ask pharvey to comment, but he's probably sleeping (Australia)
[16:46]
JeffreyLovretichDoes pharvey not know that sleep is no replacement for caffiene? ;^) [16:52]

jastJeffreyLovretich: ChanServ is a bot and +o means that the person mentioned was given op rights to the channel [18:00]
JeffreyLovretichahhh... ok, thanks [18:01]
jastit's an IRC thing. you'll see it a lot if you stick around. :) [18:01]
gac410yeah, we usually add +o to folks with demonstrated foswiki knowledge which reminds me.. [18:04]
***gac410 sets mode: +o jast [18:04]
jast:D
jast "fixes" the channel
[18:04]
gac410what's broken in the channel that needs fixing? [18:05]
jastall the other ops. clashes with my supreme ruler mentality. :} [18:05]
gac410Hm... the logger needs a special setting of some sort Usually Babar fixes it, and the /mode ops are not logged, so I can't see what he usually did [18:06]
jastwhat logger? [18:07]
gac410Doesn't [LOGGER_FOSWIKI] need to be flagged somehow [18:08]
jastonly if it has to say something
or do anything else but listen
I guess the +v is just for looks
[18:12]
gac410Ah... probably Foswikibot then. as it responds. But none of those mode commands seem to have been logged in my local logs [18:13]
jastshould they be? [18:13]
gac410no idea.
I just remember Babar doing some magic now and then and he's not around to ask :)

JeffreyLovretichGrumble grumble grumble.... still trying to get http://foswiki.org/Sandbox/WikiGuest/SimpleInventoryQueries working with a URLPARAM formfields search that includes a "-" (dash) in the search query. Any other ideas out there how to make it work? [19:24]
