LynnwoodGreetings all. I'm having a problem with topic names being switched out for TopicTitle value.
normally this is a fine feature, however if i'm doing a search for a formfield value that references a topic
the the referenced topic get's replaced by the TopicTitle, then the search doesn't work.
i haven't run into this issue before...
[01:09]
gac410Is that a NatSkin feature? [01:09]
Lynnwoodit was and i never had trouble with it there. [01:10]
gac410No idea, I've never used NatSkin [01:10]
Lynnwoodbut now it appears this is incoprorated in PatternSkin as well, and this wrinkle is an issue.
i don't think i have some other plugin that would cause it...
[01:10]
gac410hm. I don't ever recall seeing TopicTitle. Maybe something Arthur added? Micha is the NatMaster :) [01:11]
Lynnwoody, i use nat a lot and have never seen this particular issue
i'm not using nat skin in this case
like i say, it appears that this feature is built into Pattern
or maybe... it's in DBCache even if i'm not using a DBQUERY...
let me check that
[01:12]
gac410Looks like itemview.tmpl has a TopicTitle in a search results block [01:14]
Lynnwooditemview.tmpl is a default template? [01:14]
gac410never mind. I was in my trunk checkout. Not there in 1.1.8 [01:15]
Lynnwoodthis particular install is 1.1.6
guess i try updating in the morning to see if it's fixed
[01:15]
gac410Anyway, I just checked release11 checkout, and TopicTitle only appears in some metatdata and documentation. [01:16]
Lynnwoodi'm going to see if i can reproduce this on f.o. [01:26]
gac410good idea. f.o is pretty vanilla. Some extensions, but not much. t.f.o has NatEdit but not NatSkin. NatEdit will be core in 1.2 [01:27]
Lynnwoodnice
like i say, i've never actually seen this issue in NatSkin. It would seem that it handles it differently.
it seems to me the that the TopicTitle is being substituted for the topic name to early in the rendering
ok. i've found a simple test case on f.o.

foswiki_irc1hi all - is there a way to force the order that SQL statement MACROs are expanded? Mine are consistently running the 'incorrect' order using SqlPlugin [05:36]
