FloPriHello
i think that Foswiki::Func::readTopic( $web, $topic, $rev ) -> ( $meta, $text ) is broken when using utf-8 an special characters like €
[12:53]
FoswikiBothttp://trunk.foswiki.org/System/PerlDoc?module=Foswiki::Func [12:54]
FloPrii followed a bug in GenPDFAddon
And the problem is that Foswiki::Func::readTopic( $web, $topic, $rev ) isn't returning the whole topic
the topic is strip beyond the € char
Or am I missing something?
[12:54]
........ (idle for 36mn)
CDotFloPri: sounds unlikely. Euro is a high-bit character, but still in range for a byte value. Or are you configured for UTF-8? [13:33]
FloPriCDot: i have {Site}{CharSet} utf-8 [13:46]
CDotOK. It's still highly unlikely that a topic would be truncated in the way you describe, even if it contains malformed UTF8. What platform are you running the server on?
and does it still happen when you turn off non-standard all plugins?
[13:48]
FloPriist's running on debian and i can try switching off all plugins but not now. (my boss will killme ;-) ) [13:50]
jastCharSet = utf-8 works perfectly in our wikis [14:03]
FloPri@all: sry for ringing bells. i made a mistake. Foswiki::Func::readTopic works fine. if i get the bug in GenPDF i will report it. thx for your help [14:08]
FoswikiBothttp://trunk.foswiki.org/System/PerlDoc?module=Foswiki::Func [14:08]
....... (idle for 33mn)
FloPriThe error was my fault it was a combination of an old htmldoc version which isn't supporting utf8 and an undocument dirty hack to solve this problem. thx for your help [14:41]

foswiki_irc7I need assistance with the COde in order to get FullCalendar to properly show on a page [16:21]
anyone? [16:33]
NixNooiI have posted this LDAP related question http://foswiki.org/Support/Question1316 - please if you have the vaguest clue on LDAP have a look ! [16:36]
foswiki_irc7are you trying to authenticate using LDAP and create groups using foswiki? [16:38]
NixNooiI am trying to understand how to use LDAP groups with foswiki. The peeps who need access are in UNIX_G LDAP group - I want to use that (if possible) to control access to a web.
If I a can do that, in theory I can make Web Bogieman and have people in some other LDAP group have access to that.
[16:39]
***ChanServ sets mode: +o MichaelDaum [16:50]
foswiki_irc7We have active Directory groups
all of our groups are populated and secured through web preferences
so people in group a can only access web a
so on and so forth
all users and groups are created in AD and authenticated by foswiki against the AD structure
[16:50]
NixNooiare your AD group names SomethngGroup
cause foswikie want it like that ?
[[random question I have ]]
[16:54]
foswiki_irc7ours are client_foswiki
Linux_dba
Linux_admin
and so on and so forth
foswiki changes them to remove the underscore and turns them into wikiwords
have you been able to log in to foswiki using an ad user?
[16:55]
NixNooias I show in my verbose question http://foswiki.org/Support/Question1316 yes I have
I have an existing install of foswiki I can muck with and I can get myself in via AD
[16:56]
foswiki_irc7ok so your good.
you need to be able to see the groups on the AD replicated within your groups page on your systemweb
well you SHOULD be able to see them replicate
the names will be wiki formatted
[16:57]
NixNooibut only if I can understand/ figure out how to config the darn thing [16:59]
foswiki_irc7ok so you need help configuring ldapcontrib? [17:00]
NixNooiconfiguring LDAP GROUP part - the user part works great
I don;t get how the two pieces tie together
given my successfull login - I can not figure out how to get at my AD groups in a useful way
[17:01]
foswiki_irc7$Foswiki::cfg{UserMappingManager} = 'Foswiki::Users::LdapUserMapping'; [17:06]
FoswikiBothttp://trunk.foswiki.org/System/PerlDoc?module=Foswiki::Users::LdapUserMapping [17:06]
foswiki_irc7that line right there needs to be within your cfg file on the server itself
you have to log out of foswiki and log into the server that holds the cfg files
lib/LocalSite.cfg that is the cfg file that needs to be edited
then edit the wikigroupsbackff flag to allow the groups to be downloaded
then reset the ldap cache on the foswiki page and it should start downloading the groups
[17:06]
NixNooiUserMappingManager was my previous problem http://foswiki.org/Support/Question1309
That I fixed
$Foswiki::cfg{Ldap}{MapGroups} = 1; ( i have)
in previous debugging I set $Foswiki::cfg{Ldap}{Precache} = 0;
our AD is huge - and I don't really want to download the whole thing if it can be avoided

foswiki_irc7anybody have any luck getting fullcalendar to work on their wiki page?
I cannot get it to display even through the template
[18:14]
NixNooiFoswiki detected an internal error - please check your Foswiki logs and webserver logs for more information. Wide character in subroutine entry
anyone sen this before ?
its caching the whole darn AD and obviously blowing out somehwre
[18:25]
.... (idle for 16mn)
foswiki_irc0hello all [18:41]
foswiki_irc4FUllCalendar assitance
cannot get the thing to work even off the template in system web?
[18:44]
jastI haven't set it up myself yet, but one thing that's easy to miss is that you have to save in /bin/configure once after installing a JQuery plugin
(this won't work unless there are some other changes, too, so you might have to save a dummy changes (which you can change back immediately afterwards)
[18:49]
foswiki_irc4what needs to be saved in that folder? [18:51]
jastno, I mean, open /bin/configure in the browser, change some setting, save, change it back, save
(of course with the correct hostname etc. prepended)
[18:54]
foswiki_irc4I think I'm missing something
nope
nevermind I was looking to deep
ok sorry yes I got you now. You have to open the admin config page in the browser and save it off.
yeah that is how we enabled it. by changing the setting in that list to keep it on.
So i went in and resaved a change.
it still will not populate
even the template in the system/index does not work
[18:55]
***fulekia has left [19:04]
foswiki_irc4anyone FullCalendar gurus :-) [19:07]
tsnfoofoswiki_irc4: sorry, no.
WikiRingBot: seen pattdi
[19:10]
WikiRingBotWikiRingBot hasn't seen pattdi yet [19:11]
tsnfooDoesn't look like the author hangs out here, unless someone else knows him. [19:12]
