MichaelDaummorning guys. can somebody activate the fontawesome module at trunk.foswiki.org's LocalSite.cfg, please?
see the test at http://trunk.foswiki.org/Sandbox/NatEditTest
[07:22]
........... (idle for 50mn)
pharveyMichaelDaum: what should the $Foswiki::cfg line look like [08:12]
MichaelDaum$Foswiki::cfg{JQueryPlugin}{Plugins}{FontAwesome}{Enabled} = 1; [08:13]
jastpharvey: I see. there's no obvious link to that on the TMCE website, either... [08:14]
pharveyjast: yeah, it's hard to google as well.
MichaelDaum: okay, I added that line to trunk.foswiki.org's LocalSite.cfg
[08:15]
MichaelDaumit still doesn't load [08:16]
pharveyperhaps I need to restart apache? [08:16]
jastreload is sufficient, most likely
(it's slightly fastter than restarting)
[08:16]
MichaelDaumonly if there was some fcgi in place
... which the response timings dont suggest
[08:17]
pharveyyeah [08:17]
jastfcgi can be slow, too :) [08:17]
pharveylet me see if I've actually edited the correct LocalSite.cfg file
I guess I should add myself to configure properly
MichaelDaum: configure shows it's enabled :/
[08:17]
MichaelDaumthe site says nope [08:25]
pharveyhmmm
I'll undo my change and try again through the configure UI
[08:25]
MichaelDaummaybe you've added it after the trailing 1; ;) [08:26]
pharveyI added it after the FluidFont line so it was roughly alphabetical :) [08:28]
CDotpharvey: don't forget trunk.f.o is different to normal f.o....
and no, I don't no the configure pw either. I just pull on my muddy boots...

MichaelDaumno [08:37]

JulianLevensgmc: I've checked out car parking and I'll be able to save a space for you and indeed anybody else commuting or even needing a 3 day space [09:18]
MichaelDaumJulianLevens, we should add a note that the Foswiki Assoc is able to sponsor traveling costs for anybody not able to come otherwise.
there might also be expenses booking the location
as you said
we do need to spend money on this occasion to underpin the non-profit status
[09:21]
pharveywish I could make it [09:22]
JulianLevensI think sponsoring your travel costs might be overkill - but it would be great if you could come
I'd like to see gac410 but that's quite a trek too
[09:23]
pharveyapart from cost, the logistics aren't possible I'm afraid :) [09:25]
JulianLevensMichaelDaum: I note you stated travel costs is that where you'd draw the line? [09:25]
MichaelDaumsponsoring some poor sole traveling to a foswiki summit is a perfect fit for the Foswiki Assoc
what about booking the location? any expenses to cover there?
[09:27]
JulianLevenspharvey: I figured, I thought what might be cool is a simultaneous camp in OZ, but I guess the logistics are still quite large
The location is essentially booked. The costs are only for Saturday we need to pay for security on a non-work day. I suspect that will be an invoice sent to the Assoc

pharveywell, March is plenty far away - I could do a weekend trek to BNE from CBR without too much pain :)
OTOH, wow, only $775 AUD to go SYD -> AMS in the 2nd week of March
That's ~510 EUR
[09:33]
CDotflights are obscenely cheap ATM. I was just quoted £574 to fly to Xi'An (China) in September. It would cost me more to walk!
mind you, they still want £180 to fly MAN->AMS, a 25 minute hop :-(
[09:36]
JulianLevenspharvey: Well think about it, you'll need to coordinate a local meet-up yourself. As for coming to AMS maybe 2015 if not 2014, I hope run this annually
CDot: I'm surprised by that price. I found a flight with easyJet MAN->AMS for < 80 GBP. Do you have an issue with easyJet
[09:40]
CDotthat was a KLM price from a quick look. I can see easyJet for 63. [09:43]
JulianLevensOK, I think within the week I'll need to finalise the actual week, the second week is currently ahead by one vote [09:45]
CDotInteresting; Liverpool->AMS the cheapest is £168 - via Birmingham and the Isle of Man! [09:47]
JulianLevensIs that the scenic route? [09:47]
CDotit's certainly not very direct! [09:51]
JulianLevensBTW: Versatile parses and stores a cached version of the preferences during saveTopic, that way reading preferences does not require any parsing by replacing the default prefs back-end. That should work as preferences are supposed to reflect the stored values. That is to say that changed prefs in an unsaved $meta are not live prefs until saved again
That's something that would be great to get working, better would be a re-working of prefs to only read from a prefs table, but's that's hardly low hanging fruit
Did I understand this correctly?

CDotok, that's interesting. DBIStoreContrib keeps the META:PREF preferences, but it doesn't do anything with them. I was wary of trying to be too clever, though parsing the topic did occur to me, not least because the new Tables code could be used to do it, and make the tables in the topic available for SQL queries. [10:15]
JulianLevensWell I'm finishing of my StoreTools after that my main task is to build the SQL from the query, that will be interesting :D :'( [10:19]

SvenDowideitmmm, CDot you might like to know
rhel is removing mod+perl
[11:06]
CDotreally? Why's that, then? [11:06]
SvenDowideitin rhel7
i'm just reading https://access.redhat.com/site/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7-Beta/html-single/7.0_Release_Notes/index.html
no idea why they do what they do :)
it says its a problem for apache 2.4
which would suggest there are bigger issues, but noidea (i pretty much never use it)
[11:06]
CDotI wasn't aware there was a problem. I don't use it much any more anyway (mostly fcgid myself) [11:08]
SvenDowideiteven for foswiki webdav? [11:08]
CDotbut the heads-up is useful, thanks. I have at least one client using rhel [11:08]
MichaelDaumwebdav+fcgi on lighttpd is just fine. excellent job, CDot. [11:09]
CDotnah, foswiki webdav uses FCGI (or mod_perl, or has it's own stand-alone server) [11:09]
SvenDowideitcos if webdav doesn't need mod_perl andmy it might solve something [11:09]
CDotthanks MichaelDaum :-) [11:09]
SvenDowideitoh, sweet, merci! [11:09]
MichaelDaumcan even save screenshots to foswiki using the kde file dialog [11:10]
SvenDowideitkde? wossat
is that like windows 8.1?
most people i sell to use windows most of the time
[11:10]
MichaelDaumonly thing missing in lighttpd is kerberos authentication [11:11]
SvenDowideitdarn :)
i just spent this week setting up kerberos+apache in some docker containers
[11:11]
MichaelDaumwhich is pretty much the only reason to still use apache imho

LynnwoodIs anyone experienced with DBCachePlugin and specifically the functionality of the "sort" attribute for DBQUERY? The docs say that it allows " this can be a comma separted list of attributes to specify more complicated sortings". However, if the first value in list points to a field that does not have value then it does appear to fall back to the second value. [18:33]
