WhoWhatWhen
gac410Hi Tarbox, trunk.foswiki.org is the next development release. It will eventually become Foswiki 1.2.
So you can take a look at it at http://trunk.foswiki.org/
Ah... if I remember you're trying to shave time off of Foswiki. There is an experimental hotfix that can greatly reduce overhead processing the rcs files.
See Foswiki:Extensions/Testing/PatchItem11983Contrib

hm foswikibot. You got a bit overly enthusiastic parsing apart my link :(

gac410Hi dev's I've made some trunk changes. Enabled strikeone, (was embedded) Enabled secure rest. removed rest from authscripts. [01:09]
pharveysounds good [01:10]
gac410Needed someplace where I could test a github webhook ... trunk seems more promising. [01:10]
................ (idle for 1h17mn)
hey pharvey, Have you ever used the github webhook facility? I'm trying to figure out how to validate the Digest::HMAC calculated on the payload and the secret. [02:27]
pharveyno, but I could take a peek [02:27]
gac410It seems simple. "HMAC hex digest of the payload, using the hook’s secret as the key "
My secret is "secret" Maybe I don't understand what they mean by payload.
[02:28]
pharveyYou're geetting an error?
getting*
[02:29]
gac410I cut/paste their "payload" into a perl variable. Calculate the Hmac hex digest using key "secret" But the hex digest doesn't agree with what github sends [02:29]
pharveyDo you send a X-Hub-Signature header? [02:30]
gac410I'm using my own repo: gac410. Probably a stupid error somewhere. [02:30]
pharveyoh, you haven't sent anything yet [02:31]
gac410Well, I do the "test send" and it displays the results, including the X-Hub signature and a display of the payload. I'm just using cut/paste to try to recreate / validate
No handler on f.o, so it gets a 404. But it still shows me the "payload"
No need to bother. I'll keep poking a bit. Probably doing something wrong.
[02:31]
pharveyThere's always #github :) [02:32]
gac410Ah... good point. [02:33]
Ah... Got it! they format the json nice and pretty in the web interface. The actual payload has no spaces or newlines. Run it all together and the hmac matches! WoHoo [02:43]
pharveyah, nice :) [02:44]
gac410Figured it was something dumb I was doing. [02:44]
pharveyhardly dumb. It's easy get this stuff wrong. It's good there's a reference to play with at least. [02:46]
gac410I figure each "push" to the foswiki repo should drive a webhook that extracts the repo, comment, and commit hashes. And saves the commit hashes into the task extracted from the comment. [02:46]
pharveycool [02:46]
gac410Gonna be slow going as I fight through this stuff. [02:47]
dumb question. If the push reports ""ref":"refs/heads/TinyMCEv4" Is that telling me it's the TinyMCEv4 branch. So when I get a push notify from "foswiki" repo,
I should expect refs/heads/Release01x01 for the 1.1 branch, and revs/heads/master for what we would call "trunk"

gac410Well it's a start. I've got a rest handler that accepts a webhook push notification, verifies the hmac So now to write the code to interpret the json. [04:02]

foswiki_irc1Hello @all
I have a problem: I am using FireFox 29.0.1, and at the top of all Foswiki topis, I get " ALERT! Warning: your browser isn't supported. Please install a modern one, like Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome or the latest Internet Explorer. Thank you! "
I dont like this message
How can I removed it?
[11:13]
MichaelDaumfoswiki_irc1, are you still there? [11:27]
GuilainChi MichaelDaum, are you here ? [11:41]
MichaelDaumHi GuilainC [11:41]
GuilainCeverything fine ?
I've a question on topic interaction plugin, before deploy it on my install
simple question
[11:42]
MichaelDaumyes no problem. go ahead. [11:42]
GuilainCon pattern skin, when we submit attachment, we have a rewrite of the attachment without special caracter
I lost this functionality with topic interaction plugin
[11:43]
MichaelDaumi.c. [11:43]
GuilainCso how can i enable againt this, point me on the "where i should search in the doc" [11:44]
MichaelDaumhere's some background: default NameFilter in foswiki is a bit too restrictive rewriting filenames, i.e. it is not allowing you to have spaces in the name [11:44]
GuilainCi see that, is the same betweent topic Integration & pattern
betweent = between ;)
[11:44]
MichaelDaumso the newer version of TopicInteractionPlugin (and ImagePlugin, XSendFileContrib) have a less restrictive one on board to make that happen [11:45]
GuilainCaaahhh [11:45]
MichaelDaumthere were a lot of problems in combination with WebDAVContrib as well [11:46]
GuilainCexplain the trouble i've with ImagePlugin [11:46]
FoswikiBotpositive: nothing; negative: nothing; overall: 0. [11:46]
MichaelDaumwhere stuff was uploaded via webdav but not accessible from within Foswiki anymore ... due to spaces [11:46]
GuilainCI not use at this moment, webdav, i should, and would, but no time to use on this subject [11:47]
MichaelDaumyea fair enuf [11:47]
GuilainCso what the simpler maner for having something close to the pattern skin behavior ? [11:47]
MichaelDaumgot nothing to do actually with PatternSkin as this is a problem in perl land solely
it might very well be that I slacked it too much
creating problems under yet other circumstances
[11:47]
GuilainC(i'm back in few, minutes, i will read and answer you around 14h15 [11:49]
MichaelDaumGuilainC, please create a bug report and outline the problem you have, including a detailed list of urls you get and which of them fail. thanks [11:50]

GuilainC(back)
oki MichaelDaum
for you is a bug... not a functionnality :)
dully noted, i will do it
thanks for your instructive answer

foswiki_irc8Good evening
I have a problem. I have been a message at the top of my foswiki since this morning. :(
It is written, that I should get another brwoser version
browser
but I am using the latest of firefox
you have an idea, how I can remove it?
[20:09]
.... (idle for 16mn)
Nobody out there? [20:29]
........ (idle for 39mn)
gac410foswiki_irc8: you still there.
Hang on a bit and I'll try to find out where this is coming from.
Could you please paste in the exact message text so I can search for it in the code?
[21:08]
foswiki_irc8Warning: your browser isn't supported. Please install a modern one, like Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome or the latest Internet Explorer. Thank you!
I have FireFox 29.0.1
[21:15]
gac410okay hold on... [21:15]
foswiki_irc8This is a bad situation. If I could disabled this check, it would be fine. otherwise foswiki has a negative point
You can google, other foswiki installations have the same messages
[21:16]
gac410hm... it seems to be part of NatSkin ... Do you get the message if you browser http://foswiki.org/ [21:19]
foswiki_irc8no
and yes, I am using Natskin
[21:20]
gac410Somewhere there is a preference deprecatedBrowsers The javascript code compares to foswiki.getPreference("NatSkin.deprecatedBrowsers") [21:21]
foswiki_irc8okay. but at configure, i can't disabled it [21:23]
gac410There are a couple of settings to check 'DEPRECATEDBROWSERS' is a Foswiki natskin setting. [21:23]
foswiki_irc8would you be so nice and create an defect/issue for it? this message has to be disbaled or NatSkin ist not good to use.
all visitors of my page will think, there is a problem on my site or with their brwoser
[21:26]
gac410If you open your own task Foswiki:Tasks/NatSkin then you'll get notifications. [21:27]
FoswikiBothttp://foswiki.org/Tasks/NatSkin [ NatSkin ] [21:27]
gac410The NatSkin author is in Europe. So best to check back in during eruopean business hours. MichaelDaum is the guy to ping. [21:28]
foswiki_irc8okay
and you are from US?
[21:28]
gac410It looks like this is configurable, but I don't use NatSkin and don't have that version of FF to test with. Yeah I'm in the US east coast. Holiday today but I check anyway. [21:29]
foswiki_irc8Enjoy your day/week
I am from the other side of the sea, europe
[21:30]
gac410thanks. you too. Michael should be able to have a quick fix hopefully. [21:30]
foswiki_irc8ok, thanks, I will ping michael Daum
I hope so, too
bye bye
