bluefirehi all
is there a way to create a link directly to the edit mode of a page?
[09:24]
CDotbluefire: sure. Simplest way is to replace 'view' with 'edit' in the URL. [09:34]
bluefireCDot: if I use a full url as the link, page renaming will not pick up the topic
I'm looking for somethink like [[WikiWord?edit][edit link]]
[09:35]
CDotOK. Then no. [09:36]
bluefireor alternatively something like [[%SOME_MACRO_MAGIC][Edit link]]
because the page I want to refer to is always %TOPIC%
so I'd also be happy to simple create an edit link to %TOPIC%
[09:36]
CDotso why don't you do that? You can use %TOPIC% in a full url. [09:38]

ModAcOstbluefire: You may want to add a ?t=%GMTIME{"$epoch"}% to bypass the cache [11:43]
bluefireModAcOst: I assume that edit pages have a no-cache pragma, no? [11:44]
ModAcOstTo my knowledge: they don't [11:45]
bluefireouch
ModAcOst: ok, thanks!
works great. Now I can include page fragments in another page vai %INCLUDE, have a really nice edit link, and using %IF, the edit link is only shown if the fragment is actually %INCLUDEd an not simply opened as a standalone-page - very nice!
thank you all for you help
[11:46]
..... (idle for 22mn)
jastwhen using %WEB% and %TOPIC% in an INCLUDE, they will refer to the included topic, not the including topic
so you may have to use %BASEWEB% and %BASETOPIC% (to refer to the topic the user requested) or %INCLUDINGWEB% and %INCLUDINGTOPIC% (to refer to the topic containing the INCLUDE)
[12:12]
bluefirejast: I need this to refer to the included topc, not to the including topic - so %WEB% and %TOPIC% are correct
this is used in a little snipped on each page that could be included elsewhere.
if it is included, then it displays an edit link for itself
