andreliHi, MichaelDaum and JulianLevens. Regarding the http://foswiki.org/Community/FoswikiCamp2015: Is the event taking place with as few as three participants? [15:18]
MichaelDaumandreli, yea this sux [15:18]
JulianLevensI'm hoping to add jast and maybe even one of his colleagues
If we have five I think it's worthwhile
[15:18]
andreliWhen do you expect to decide 'go' or 'no go'. I need to make some travel arrangements. [15:20]
JulianLevensNext Monday [15:22]
andreliJulianLevens: Ok, I will keep my plans open and wait until next monday. [15:24]
gac410MichaelDaum: I'm too lazy to read. Is there a *global* cache refresh on Foswiki 1.2 ?refresh= ...? [15:27]
MichaelDaumrefresh=all [15:27]
gac410gac410 wonders if we should add something to the foswiki-update script that refreshes the cache. [15:27]
MichaelDaumy [15:28]
gac410Fixes to language strings, etc. are probably being cached ... as well as cdot's change
Can I just "rm" sqlite.db from working dir?
GuilainC: Can you play around with your search issues you reported on trunk.foswiki.org. CDot has hopefully fixed the issue.
Looks good to me.
[15:28]
jastJulianLevens: looks like the meeting got moved to tomorrow, so no answer today, sorry [15:35]
gac410Hi JulianLevens You used an email that was not subscribed to discuss list. I let it though. Then realized maybe it's an email that you didn't want public. Sorry [15:35]
JulianLevensNo worries, that reminds me that I have more work to do with my new email provider
jast: thanks for the info
GuilainC: any chance we can get you to Amsterdam?
[15:36]
jastI'm guessing getting any release managers to Amsterdam will be difficult, too...? [15:39]
gac410Yeah I won't be going. And probably my online participation will be afternoons only due to timezones [15:40]
jastyeah, I expected you wouldn't want to stay awake all night... [15:42]
gac410MichaelDaum: Just curious. Your sprint topic "mailman replacement" Does that mean move off of lists.sourceforge.net or is it some other topic [15:44]
MichaelDaumI'd like to have a plugin that replaces the but-ugly mailman web interface [15:45]
jastI think it's about developing a MLM inside foswiki [15:45]
gac410gac410 uses https://www.sympa.org/ for mailing lists he manages. [15:45]
jastwhich is a tall order... there's quite a bit of complex logic in MLMs [15:45]
gac410Y. What I always wanted to do but didn't have enough energy was to do an Auth handler that used the MLM as the auth source. And foswiki groups == mail list membership
So email list == group, list subscription == group membership, and registered to list server == registered to wiki.
Sympa uses sql, but overlayed over config files. and has an API. and some examples of other wikis using it as a pluggable authenticator. But still, I'm lazy and the itch wasn't enough to scratch.
But it has a nicer interface than mailman, and much better / searchable archives based on MhonArc
[15:46]
MichaelDaumthanks for the Sympa hint
I've got a couple of other ideas for plugins
such as a SanePlugin to scan documents + upload to foswiki
[15:51]
gac410cool [15:52]
JulianLevensMichaelDaum: sent you an email to review for foswiki-announce [15:54]
MichaelDaumJulianLevens, looks good. Fire. [15:58]
gac410CDot On the task Wysiwyg swapping order of anchor and query param. I have a fixup patch that will detect bad urls and fix them Think it's worth adding to TML2HTML?
Basically adds code: if ( index($url, '#') > -1 && index($url, '#') < index($url, '?') ) { .... parse and swap anchor and query params }
[15:59]
JulianLevensOk, email fired, gac410 can you please moderate [16:01]

gac410okay. Thanks. [16:43]
jastcolleague was busy adding the server to monitoring and backups, and in the process of upgrading packages broke my special undocumented trickery I did during the setup [16:43]
gac410:)
Pretty silly for python to store configuration information in it's system libraries, and not in a tracked / backed up location like /etc
That's how we lost the pootle setup on foswiki.org or at least one of the reasons.
[16:43]
GuilainChi everyone, sorry for not answering I was away. gac410 (and cdot), thanks for WebSearch topic fix, and i will play around as soon as possible. Then JulianLevens, for the foswiki camp, I've got many constraints before meet you in Amsterdam, (1) waiting my start date of my new job, (2) cost but by a remote participation is affordable, and (3) what can i bring to a such foswiki camp. MichaelDaum speak about beer, for this point I
can follow you easily (less than german people ;) but enough) ! :) but for any development skills I'm not a developer... jut a script kiddies ;) then what could i bring up to you ? The only thing I've found is to speak about my 5 years experience using foswiki in an industrial SME especially used for developing an hybrid power train, and that by using requirements management, task management, documentation, calculus (all enginee
ring data management), etc and human ressource too. But except these points and discuss about what's had been complicated for users, I've no other points to bring in amsterdam. oh yes ! my two cents and my smiles :)
[16:47]
JulianLevensGuilainC actually thats valuable experience. You can help us give 1.2 beta a good testing and gives us a different perspective on any issues
Beers always good :)
Guest11799 can you make Amsterdam this year

JulianLevensThat my very best google French [16:58]
gmcgac410: i've got a regular job these days, sonologic is mostly alive to service a few customers/friends [16:58]
gac410gmc also I wondered about installing Taint::runtime but didn't want to get into a perl upgrade snafu. Don't see a "dry-run option [16:58]
gmci still have the rack with the servers and all, but not very active on getting in new clients [16:58]
gac410gmc okay thanks. just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything to read between the lines :) [16:59]
gmcmostly i got fed up with billing and acquisition, and i needed stability :) [17:00]
jastadded a bunch of translations, close to 100% now, after that we can start cleaning things up [17:00]
gmcplus, i got offered an interesting job (embedded development), so 1+1 made 3 [17:00]
GuilainCGuilainC has found new inconsistency in WebSearch... path file disclosure [17:00]
gac410cool. yeah the administrative part of your own business is a royal pain. [17:00]
gmcgac410: so you probably went ahead with installing the translation server in my absence uh? sorry for going off the grid again
i can't seem to get on track with certain things somehow
[17:00]
gac410no probem. Actually jast did it at modell-aachen
They are generously hosting it for us. Had some local experience with weblate, so good all around.
[17:01]
jastand now we're busy breaking it again ;) [17:01]
gmcah good good [17:02]
gac410I figure it's good for the project to share the workload around. so positive move. [17:02]
GuilainCgac410, what's the best, open new task (WebSearch inconsistency) or take the old one ? [17:03]
gac410Is it related to quotes or some other issue?
And is it security related? If so we should not discuss here.
[17:03]
GuilainCfile path disclosure
not severe
just bad error catching and dealing
[17:04]
gmcgac410: agreed, we had everything spread out over multiple servers way way back iirc [17:05]
gac410Ah. might be okay. We run trunk.foswiki.org with asserts and debugging enabled, so some stuff will trigger errors that would not on a regular install
Lunchtime here.
Actually late for lunch :P
[17:05]
gmcabout time for dinner :) [17:07]
GuilainCGuilainC give +1 to fail2ban [17:09]
jastno fuzzy/untranslated strings left in German, yay
well actually there should be 2-3 untranslated
[17:15]
gac410yay Congratulations jast great work. [17:15]
jastmaybe someone else did them
French is at 100%, too, good job!
oh, I'm on the wrong branch. dang.
wonder how that happened
[17:15]
gac410Yeah. I was wondering.
German has 58 untranslated, 25 fuzzy.
jast: that difficult to translate string. The substitution is so that %SYSTEMWEB% ends up in the string. "Unsupported LoginName"
If someone submits a login name during registration, and the site does not have AllowLoginName enabled in the configuraiton,, then they get this error.
It is probably a "should not happen" and probably ought to be Unsupported [[[_1]]] so that %SYSTEMWEB%.LoginName links from the title of the page. I think.
[17:16]
jastI'm reporting multiple strings like this. I believe the strings should say [[%1][foo]] instead of %1
difficult in instances in which %1 expands to a popup link, though
[17:22]
gac410Ah... yeah good point. For the one you reported, it would probably only happen if someone registering from a "bot" otherwise, if AllowLoginName is disabled, that field is not availabe on the form.
I'm sure there are others though that are more common.
[17:24]
RaulFR Regarding your comment on "New password did not match existing password for this user" I think that one is really unusual / strange occurence [17:33]
GuilainCtake a look of this query search
(name~'*Plugin' OR name~'*Contrib') AND ExtensionClassification~''
in extension web
[17:34]
gac410I can't imagine why something would call addUser for an existing user. other than maybe trying to populate users that exist only in the password system. [17:35]
GuilainCit's give you some of plugin which aren't classified... (and more hardly to find)
but what do you think about the "NEW" description that you find about some plugin where the last edition is 2012
for example DownloadZipPlugin
the third ligne description
[17:35]
gac410hang on I'll look [17:36]
GuilainCseem that if a version is to 1, then it's new
sorry NEW ;)
[17:36]
jastokay, *now* I've gone through all untranslated and fuzzy strings. :) [17:37]
gac410:) [17:37]
GuilainCgood work jast
and good luck for consistency check now :)
[17:37]
jast... I gotta go ;P [17:38]
gac410goodnight. have a good supper
GuilainC: Well from the system store perspective, a topic without any revisions is still "NEW" but true, there probably ought to be a timeframe on that. But that's a feature :)
[17:38]
GuilainCI think so too
feature request for the... for an other version... need spec ;)
What's new and what's not new
:)
[17:40]
gac410So not for 1.2.0 [17:40]
GuilainCkind of Shakespeare questions : to be or not to be ? what's new and what's not new ? [17:41]
gac410I don't know if that's major enough to warrant a feature proposal or just an enhancement task. But the "horizon" for NEW probably should be configurable. [17:41]
GuilainCok with you gac410 ! [17:41]
GuilainC time for climbing [17:51]
gac410CDot ... If I edit an extension topic on Foswiki.org, do I just manually mirror the old package table into the new form:
Like JoomlaUsersContrib. Author is "Foswiki:Main.SvenDowideit - of fosiki.com - WikiRing.com" just paste that in?
GuilainC noticed that there are some extensions that are not "Classified" ... so figured I could add clasifications and ran into the new form.
[17:52]
........ (idle for 36mn)
Jast We could probably change both of those " Click here" buttons to read "Load content" Click here to load ... That way the button is not part of the sentence. And both pages can probably use the same string. [18:29]
jastsounds good [18:38]
gac410Can't combine them though... Different alternatives. I could split to separate strings, but probably not worth it.
Also a %BR% before the *Caution* so that it sits under the button might look better.
[18:38]
Jast https://github.com/foswiki/distro/blob/master/TopicUserMappingContrib/data/System/DefaultUserRegistration.txt#L320
Move the string "this must be a WikiName" into the popup label instead of just the word WikiName?
So the whole sentence "This must be a unique Wiki name" becomes the link?
[18:45]
jast I'm really not sure how to fix " password did not match existing password for this user."
I think that this can only happen in something like bulk registration where the password system has users that exist, but are missing from the mapper.
I can't imagine how you can otherwise get to the situation of adding a new user, where the new password doesn't match the existing user.
Maybe "User exists in the Password Manager, and the password you provided is different from the users current password. You cannot add a user and change the password at the same time."
[18:54]
jastboth good ideas [18:57]
CDotgac410: yes, just mirror it, and leave the content alone. [18:57]
gac410Okay I'll fix that one too. Then I'll run xgettext and check them in. hm I think there was one complaint about a missing full stop too, [18:59]
Hm MichaelDaum left: :( The insert table dialog in NatEdit. I think the headings need to be changed to "Heading rows:" "Data rows:" "Columns:"
Hm None of the other NatEdit dialogs use : Search [...] Replace [...] vs. Search: [...] etc.
Do I omit colons on insert table dialog, or add them just to that dialog, or scan through and add them to all the dialogs. :P
For now I'm not going to insert colons. Let's keep the dialogs consistent within the Nat editor.
