WhoWhatWhen
msnis there someway to create a per row level editing rights in a table with editrow plugin?
i was thinking of using foswiki for my change mangement system and that would need approvals to be only done by some specific user
[05:45]
gac410No, pemissions are at a topic level.
and with that... time to sleep. g'night

uebera||MichaelDaum: The prices mentioned for comparison are excluding VAT; also, the prices/offers given on the english pages are slightly different (we got it cheaper because we paid for 12 months minimal term, 6 months thereafter whereas the offer on the english page is for a single month) [15:22]
MichaelDaumyea thats an excellent offer. was going to switch my server to the same product. [15:26]
gac410uebera||: I got my account set up. Do you have access to the #foswiki-admin channel? [15:37]
uebera||No, not yet. [15:38]
gac410hm I have not idea how to add someone to the authorized users. [15:38]
uebera||On freenode, this should apply: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:IRC/Channel_access_and_configuration_guide#Channel_user_groups [15:40]
gac410Try again uebera|| [15:42]
uebera||It tells me I'm banned. [15:43]
gac410hm I set your flags to +RViv on ueberall and it took it. Must have to unban you now somehow [15:43]
MichaelDaumthis is controlled by the ChanServ [15:44]
gac410Ya. The trick is figuring out the secret /msg contents and required secret handshake [15:44]
uebera||Did you specify "ueberall" or "uebera||"? [15:45]
gac410I used auto-complete for the name so it used uebera|| [15:45]

vrurggac410: Will 2.0.4 include the mime patch? If so, when to expect it? I don't want mangle with my working system by replacing the Net.pm but I need it as utf8 mails doesn't get thru. [15:58]
gac410Yes it's merged into master and Release02x00 branches (I hope ;)
Did you see Item13921 ... Andreli claims with iso-8859-1 store, messages are being sent in store encoding but flagged as utf-8
[15:59]
FoswikiBothttp://foswiki.org/Tasks/Item13921 [ Item13921: Mailnotify emails sent in wrong encoding ] [16:00]
gac410I can't figure out how that can happen, and am hoping that your Email::Mime fix has magically fixed it. :D
MailerContrib uses the API and it should always get Unicode / Perl characters, never utf-8
[16:00]
vrurgSo, do you have any date for 2.0.4 in mind?
I'll recheck the patch tonight, especially if somebody would remind me. :)
[16:02]
gac410Shortly after 2.1, so I can catch up any common bugs found during the beta.
So end of the month.
[16:03]
vrurgOk, thanks!
As to the mail: utf8 is hardcoded for the outgoing mails, actually. Can replace it with $Foswiki::cfg{Site}{CharSet}.. Though having a separate config parameter for outgoing mails would make more sense.
It's only a matter of changing the parameter of charset_set() method at Net.pm:712.
[16:04]
gac410No, I think we want the email to be utf-8, that *should* be fine. StoreEncoding is converted to Unicode and then the email should be converted from unicode to utf-8
I just can't figure how iso-8859-1 characters are making it into the email, unless maybe it's url's previously encoded with %xx characters
[16:09]
vrurgThat's what I had in mind – I can hardly imagine a mail client not capable of utf these days. But considering that life is more complicated that we expect it to be I see no harm in additional parameter hidden under 'expert' configure mode. [16:10]
gac410I'd say let's add it once someone needs it. As the task indicated, it's not that utf-8 doesn't work for them, it's that somehow they are getting iso-8859-1 leaking from the store.
Unless CDot has ideas how that could happen, I'm pretty mystified. I checked all the topic access in mailercontrib and it all uses the APIs which should always return unicode on 2.0
[16:11]
vrurgI leave an opened firfox tab with the task in it. Hope to test it on my macbook and see how it works.
BTW, the Moo branch managed to run configure smoothly yesterday despite of failing tests. I'm amused... ;)
And confused same time. :)

gac410CDot ... when you get a chance, could you try sending /msg ChanServ FLAGS #foswiki-security gac410 +AORefiorstv to see if you can grant me oper status? [16:49]

JulianLevensI do not have the means to send/receive encrypted emails
I was hoping to do so
but it will have to wait it seems.
[17:45]
gac410That's fine. for the server anyway, if you want an account, pls post your desired account name and ssh public key and I can build it later today. Post it to Community/FoswikiOrgServer Public keys are safe to post .. I hope ;) [17:46]
JulianLevensy, that's true [17:47]
CDotgac410: (17:51:45) ChanServ: (notice) Channel #foswiki-security is not registered. [17:52]
gac410hm... strange. I've no idea then how to clean up the oper status on that one. [17:52]
okay #foswiki-security is actually an ad-hoc channel. CDot, you were the first one online, so you are the owner/operator, You would need to register it first, then you could mark it private / inviation only, etc.
See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cm5oUWwbkI for a howto ...
gac410 needs to head out. Back later....
[18:02]
CDotargh, don't give me video howtos, i hate them
CDot likes plain English, preferably written with an English accent.

vrurggac410: As to iso8859-1 and mails. Sure I've got it in utf-8 as the encoding of MIME parts of the envelope. Tested in few different ways, even with cyrillic letters – seems to be no problem. Cyrillic comes in #xNNN; form which is perfectly ok considering the storage encoding. [21:20]
gac410The particular task, andreli is using an Iso-8859-1 store, They have not attempted the utf-8 migration.
I'm hoping that your improved email will handle whatever their issue is a bit better.
[21:21]
vrurgI tested it the way he described with store charset. Unless we miss something or he didn't mention an important detail then the patch should resolve the bug. [21:28]
gac410great. Hopefully he'll get a chance to test as well. Thanks for looking into this! [21:29]
vrurgNo problem at all...
I just wonder why there is no subscribe button on the task topic?
[21:32]
gac410Tasks are "auto-subscribed" by the presence of your wikiname in either waiting for, or in Created by. (It can be a list, so you can join)
The WebNotify for Tasks is deleted and rebuilt in a cron job.
[21:34]
vrurgOk, I did suspect this. :)
Would be better if there is 'FollowedBy' for cases like mine – just wanna now what happens.
[21:35]
gac410y. That's a missing feature for sure. Or "InterestedParties"
gac410 uses a firefox "live bookmark" to follow all updates in tasks (a rss feed)
[21:36]
vrurgIs there RSS feed of the updates?
I'm using Reeder on Mac, would serve nicely for the purpose.
[21:44]
gac410Tasks/WebRss Each web has a search topic that can be used in an rss reader
There is also an Atom feed, but I've never used it.
[21:45]
vrurgvrurg is stupid...
I knew it, wanted to subscribe but was distracted.
Thanks a lot!
