gac410Hey all .. .Probably a better question for MichaelDaum, but the bin/jsonrpc script. I'm assuming it should *not* be included in the AuthScripts setting by default. It allows use by non-authenticated users.
our docs are a bit inconsistent.

jmk0MichaelDaum when you get back (or anyone else), I see the GraphvizPlugin config items are not in $Foswiki::cfg{Plugins}{GraphvizPlugin} but rather are in $Foswiki::cfg{GraphvizPlugin} ... is that intentional? [19:01]
gac410I think that there is some disagreement on which is preferable. There was discussion that {Plugins} should be specific to the system level parameters - Enabled and Module, and not polluted by a bunch of other stuff.
I'm not sure that making new root level keys is right either though :(
[19:04]
jmk0resolved or no?
sounds like it was intentional in any case

gac410https://foswiki.org/System/DevelopingPlugins#Config_namespace_Rules_going_forward:
The rules are to never store new keys at the root level. So it was incorrect.

gac410Here are the actual "rules" which developers seem free to ignore :D

"Never store settings at the root level."

gac410Here is where it got discussed: fwiw Item13127 [19:10]
FoswikiBothttps://foswiki.org/Tasks/Item13127 [ Item13127: Inconsistent documentation on Config.spec for Plugins ] [19:10]
gac410Mostly, this one really just comes down to opinion. I don't know of any good reason why one is preferred over the other. [19:12]
jmk0"namespace soup" :-) [19:12]

is there a mechanism when installing/using foswiki for changing the "pub" directory to some other name that I should be aware of, or can I assume the pub and data directories are pretty much static
e.g. someone wants their attachments under a directory called "fubar" instead of "pub"
