JulianLevensMichaelDaum: where's the solr config I need to change to scan svg documents? [13:23]
MichaelDaumHi JulianLevens [13:24]
***ChanServ sets mode: +o gac410 [13:25]
JulianLevensHi [13:25]
MichaelDaumI thought you know best ... reading your vagrant files [13:25]
JulianLevensHello gac410, I've got a mainframe/foswiki related
Yes I started with my vagrant files, but I seem to be blind
Then grep the code on the server, but nothing yet
[13:25]
***hvxgr has quit IRC (Quit: leaving) [13:27]
MichaelDaumwhich config files are you looking for? [13:27]
gac410Hi JulianLevens I'm not following that at all ... mainframe? blind? . [13:28]
JulianLevensgac410: the mainframe is unrelated to sole, I've tweaked the WebName regex to insist on a single lower case letter
I was creating docs with a lot of dataset names and without that tweak they were all seen as WEB.SWEB.SWEB2 etc names rather than DSNs
MichaelDaum: Maybe it's also related to StringifierContrib, however as svg is xml and text, I would have thought solr could cope directly
However, I assume solr needs to be told which file extensions it can handle
[13:28]
gac410You're going to have to back up a bit. I'm completely lost. I used to be a mainframe Systems Programmer, but last I touched that was 24 years ago. Can DSNs even support lower case characters? [13:32]
JulianLevensNo, that's the point they are copied over in all CAPS and as such are recognised as webs and subwebs, but I do not want them to be
By insisting on a lower case char they are now *not* seen as a WEB.TOPIC reference
[13:35]
gac410Oh... Might be best to just set NOAUTOLINK to stop the linking [13:36]
JulianLevensProblem with that is that other parts I do want autolinking [13:36]
gac410parts of the same topic? <noautolink> then ? [13:37]
JulianLevensYes I can manually turn it on or off with extra markup, but it would be a lot of work and error-prone [13:37]
gac410If we required at least one lower-case in webnames, that would probably break a lot of stuff. [13:38]
JulianLevensBut tweaking the WebName regex I can copy over DSNs without issue [13:38]
gac410Right but that would mean that nobody could have all-upper webnames. [13:39]
JulianLevensI'm not suggesting changing WebName regex in FW itself, it will have to be a local tweak [13:39]
gac410okay ... Then I'm missing what you are asking. [13:39]
JulianLevensIt might be worth a support topic for any other mainframe sites
I'm not asking just telling, just in case other mainframes sites complain about DSNs
Could easily be made a config option, but wait until someone else asks
I don't suppose it's that likely though
[13:40]
gac410oh gotcha. It's been a while as I said. Are you actually running Foswiki on a mainframe? Or on IBMs linux environment on the mainframe? Or just documenting a mainframe [13:42]
JulianLevensJust documenting a mainframe and its systems [13:42]
.... (idle for 18mn)
MichaelDaum: any solr hints? [14:00]
MichaelDaumtest with <foswiki>/tools/stringify <path-to-svg>
to see what it stringifies to
it probably returns nothing as the mime type is image/svg+xml ... and there is no stringifier module for it
basically there is no xml stringifier
[14:02]
JulianLevensOk, then I'll write one :), just not today :( [14:07]
MichaelDaumhave a look at one of the perl XML libs ... probably XML::LibXML ... which has got $xml->toString() ...
YAPD (yet another perl dependency)
[14:07]
JulianLevensTrues, but it can be a Contrib on it's own [14:09]
MichaelDaumor XML::Easy as it is already required by solr [14:10]
JulianLevensThanks, I'll check them both out [14:12]
