Rich_Morin_I know some folks who would like to kick the tires on FW (editing pages, etc). Is there a public site I can send them to? [19:44]
gac410Just register an account on https://foswiki.org/ and please restrict edits to the Sandbox web. [19:44]
Rich_Morin_I wan't sure that was OK, but we'll give it a try. [19:45]
gac410After they have an account on foswiki.org, they can use the same credentials on https://trunk.foswiki.org/ and see the upcoming Foswiki 2.2 release One big change so far is the latest TinyMCE editor. [19:47]
Rich_Morin_I have no idea which editor will work for these folks - they're blind. [19:47]
gac410oh... hm okay. I'm not sure how much screen reader work has ever been done or tested. Unfortunately we will probably have work to do.
On the tinymce site. "As of version 4.0.17 of TinyMCE, we now follow the WAI-ARIA specification, making it compatible with screen readers such as JAWS and NVDA. At the time of writing, we would highly recommend the use of NVDA together with Firefox for the best Accessibility experience with TinyMCE."
The prod foswiki is still on a 3.x version of tinymce, but trunk.f.o is on the latest
But the rest of foswiki around the editor ... I have no idea. Tasks ... and developers ... welcomed!

well foo. trunk.foswiki.org is indeed running TinyMCE 4.5.3. But the System.TinyMCEPlugin topic was not updated. So it describes. the wrong version. [20:06]

Rich_Morin_gac410: yt? [23:49]
gac410yup [23:49]
Rich_Morin_I didn't quite follow your comments on the status of TinyMCE. What version of FW would we have to use in order to get the ARIA-compliant version of TinyMCE? [23:50]
gac410Right now it's not released. It will eventually be Foswiki 2.2. We just had another pushback of the release. Developers have been very busy with reallife. [23:51]
Rich_Morin_gotcha [23:51]
gac410We were supposed to enter feature freeze on Saturday, but not much to freeze yet :(
If someone really needed it we could probably do a test release of Wysiwig, TinyMCE and NatEdit plugins. Not sure right now how compatible they are with 2.1.3 though.
[23:52]
Rich_Morin_hmmmm [23:55]
gac410My guess is we'll probably push 2.2. out until September. [23:57]
