btiffin2.1.4 install catch-22. Trying to get Foswiki working with the Hiawatha webserver, in userland for trials. Got the configuration setup to recognize the CGI programs (Hiawatha needs an extension, so there is some mucking around with symlinks, not a big deal and easy). Anyway got to bin/view/ then to configure from there and getting an error console entry of JSON error parsing character 1...

So, tried creating an empty (but existing) lib/LocalSite.cfg (with and without 1; module return value) First error then was No Access to undef.../log. I have no LocalSite.cfg to work with except for a very old 1.1 cut from an archived site. I'm...

Or do I really need to bail on alternate web servers and go with Apache just to run Foswiki? Error report is point to jquery-2.2.4 and attempts with Foswiki 2.1.2 (jquery 2.2.3 come up with the same JSON parse error) I'm working on an...

Guest64906Struggling to search across topics for specific Preferences [19:28]
bduganSorry for connecting & disconnecting -- I don't use chat enough!
I have a QuerySearch question.
[19:32]
I would like to find topics that have specific macros or preferences set. For example, I would like to have " * Set Modelnumber = trackball" in a handful of topics, and then be able to find those using QuerySearch.
I would like to find topics that have specific macros or preferences set. For example, I would like to have " * Set Modelnumber = trackball" in a handful of topics, and then be able to find those using QuerySearch.
I have been trying "preferences[name='Modelnumber']" just to find any topics with that macro or preference in them but it finds nothing.
My installation is foswiki 1.1.8 -- is that the problem here?
I would actually prefer to use a form for this, but we already depend on some other forms and I don't see how to have more than one form on a topic. Is there a way to do that?
