WhoWhatWhen
gac410bdugan, I don't think that there is any way to search for specific preference settings using the query language. you'd need to do a regex search for the * Set statement.
This sounds more like structured data that would be better stored in a topic's formfield. If implemented that way, then you could use query search to find topics by formfield data.
I am pretty sure that you could use either way with 1.1.8,

btiffinAnyone that may have read last nights request regarding jquery JSON borking during Foswiki initial install. Read more, a copy and hand edit of lib/Foswiki.spec to lib/LocalSite.cfg fixed every up. Foswiki 2.1.4 running on Fedora 24, with Hiawatha webserver running from non-root for testing. Up and no red flags. ;-) Thanks for listening.
every up == every thing up

bduganThanks gac410 for the reply on my question about query-searching preference settings. I tried doing it this way because the QuerySearch Topic says it can be done. But in fact it does not seem to work, unless I have a syntax problem or something.
But then my my second question was about forms: can there be more than one with a topic? Because otherwise I am going to wind up with a weird and long form.

GuilainChi bdugan, rather than a long form you can "concatenate" several form from several topic
I prefer this approach, because, you can by this way have a similar approach when you design a database

bduganThanks GuilainC. I'll think about that. In the mean time I have made my form a little longer and it is still reasonable. [19:07]
gac410btiffin: regarding manually copying Foswiki.spec to LocalSite.cfg. ... You really should never have to do that. Foswiki will "bootstrap" itself and should work just fine.
It's been tested with Apache, Nginx and Lighttpd.
