uebera||miyone: There's https://foswiki.org/Extensions/SolrPlugin, but I'm not aware of an "ElasticSearchPlugin" or the like. [08:31]
miyone@uebera i actually have ElasticPlugin installed by a previous admin. it must be from twiki..
trying to find a docu for it, but it's not listed on either site.

uebera||Doesn't the plugin page in the System web mention details/URLs?
At least the code should contain some references, no?

miyone@uebera forgot to explain, it's listed in the 'Installed Plugins' page, although link is missing, so no page itself. i do however see it in Configure > Extensions [20:49]
gac410miyone: That sounds like it's a locally developed or unofficial extension. Anything we release from foswiki.org will have a Topic in the system web. [20:50]
miyoneanyone know if it's an external plugin? [20:50]
gac410It's not in TWiki's SVN repository, and we don't have anything named that way in our github repo. [20:51]
miyone@gac410 ahh you're right that's possible. but it's got lots of options in Configure that we don't need at all, so i ruled out that possibility. [20:51]
gac410The plugins options will come from the Foswiki/Plugins/ElasticPlugin/Config.spec [20:52]
miyoneis there any other plugin that can interface with elasticsearch? [20:52]
gac410You might check the copyright or comments in the lib/Foswiki/Plugins/ElasticPlugin.pm
I've never heard of elastic search. no idea.
[20:52]
miyoneawesome, i'll look those two up. thanks @gac410! [20:52]
gac410elastic search is based on Lucene. our Foswiki:Extensions.SolrPlugin is also based on the Lucene engine. [20:57]
FoswikiBothttps://foswiki.org/Extensions.SolrPlugin [ SolrPlugin ] [20:57]
gac410Foswiki:Extensions.KinoSearchPlugin is also based on Lucene, but is older than Solr and I'm not sure it's maintained any more. [20:59]

gac410sure. You can look at the code that's checked into github
The basics are working, but it needs cleanup, testing, etc
